After a pickup from your Munich hotel, your full-day excursion starts with a city sightseeing tour by private vehicle. Lasting between two and three hours, this private tour can be customized to your preferences; if you have any special interests, simply advise when booking so your guide can come up with a personalized itinerary in advance.
Visit the Cathedral of Our Blessed Lady (Frauenkirche), a Gothic church constructed from red brick. Look up at the twin towers, towering over the surrounding buildings, and look down to find the famous 'devil's footprint' as your guide explains its origins. Feel free to climb the stairs up to the south tower for fantastic views of Munich and the Alps.
Continue to the world-famous Hofbr uhaus am Platzl, one of the oldest breweries in Munich, founded in 1589 by the Duke of Bavaria. As you look around or enjoy a stein (own expense), imagine what it was like in the late-18th century when Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived around the corner and frequented the beer hall!
Continue to Marienplatz, Munich’s famous square that was once a center for medieval tournaments and festivals. Here you’ll see Munich Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus), built in the mid-1400s. Learn about the building’s medieval design and, amusingly, its current use as a toy museum (Spielzeugmuseum). You'll also pass by the impressive German Museum (Deutsches Museum), the world's largest museum of science and technology.
Enjoy free time to indulge in a typical Bavarian meal in Munich, or stop for lunch on the way to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site (own expense).
After a 1.5-hour journey, arrive at the memorial site, the first Nazi concentration camp in Germany during the Holocaust, which served as a model for all the other camps. A visit to Dachau offers a sobering, yet important, look at the history of the Holocaust and the atrocities committed by Hitler and the Nazi Germans.
Take a 2-hour walking tour of the camp with an informative audio-guide. Visit the former prison bunkers, barracks, gas chambers and crematorium, and view eye-opening exhibits at the memorial’s museum.

Guide was informative, but this does not include a private tour of Dachau - the guide only drops off and helps with audio guide. Not worth the extra expense.

The tour in theory is a great one. However, our tour guide was a tour guide want-to-be. Was not licensed to be a tour guide and didn't know any history or facts. Didn't want to go to where the tour was supposed to visit. In summary, it should have been a great tour, but we got stuck with an overpriced taxi!
