Meet your guide in central Munich in the morning and take the train to Fuessen, located in the Bavarian region of Ostallgaeu.
Visit the charming city center of Fuessen and its historical old town first before you move on to the Bavarian region Schwangau to explore Hohenschwangau Castle and Neuschwanstein Castle (entrance fees included in ticket).
You will first visit Hohenschwangau Castle, which was built by King Maximilian II, son of King Ludwig I and father to Ludwig II of Bavaria.
Finally, you will visit the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle, which was built by King Ludwig II and has been the inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Skip the long lines in front of the castle and explore this very unique palace and be amazed by its special architectural design.
