Choose between a morning or afternoon departure and make your way to Marienplatz in central Munich. Receive a bike and helmet and take in the magnificent landmarks of Marienplatz ─ including the gabled Old Town Hall and the gargoyle-dotted Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall) ─ before departing.
Follow your guide through the picturesque Munich Old Town, where you can coast through the bike-friendly streets to the city's splendid squares. See Max-Joseph-Platz, a city square that’s home to the Munich Residenz, the former royal palace, and the elegant National Theatre, Munich’s opera house. Glide along the walkways of the tranquil Hofgarten, the former-royal-gardens-turned-public-park.
See memorial sights dedicated to the White Rose, a non-violent, anti-Nazi resistance group. Admire the Italian-style architecture of the vast Odeonsplatz. Watch surfers attempting to ride a wave in the man-made waterfall at the English Garden, before pausing to see the Chinese Tower, one of Munich’s most famous beer gardens.
Stop frequently to rest and listen to your guide share information about Munich’s architectural highlights. During the tour, you’ll also visit a beer garden, where you can soak up the jovial atmosphere and munch on a typical German lunch or dinner, such as bratwurst or schnitzel (own expense).
After four hours, return to Marienplatz to return your bike and finish your tour.
Superior Bike Tour (5 Hours)Leave Marienplatz early in the morning and enjoy all the Munich architectural highlights described above, plus an additional sightseeing visit to K nigsplatz (King's Square). This grand square was inspired by the Acropolis in Athens and features neoclassical buildings, including the Glypothek, which houses a collection of Greek and Roman sculptors. It was also used for Nazi rallies during the Third Reich.
Deluxe Bike Tour (7 Hours)This extended bike tour includes all the sights mentioned on the 5-hour tour, plus an extended route that will take you out to three more must-see landmarks. Great ride with Mr. Hunter, Awesome stories he had to tell about Munich in a very interesting way. At times, very emhaticallly he stressed we Bravarian are disposed as such and onother time he would gleefully say, we Americans. It was funny to see how artfullyhe navigated two sides of the character.

This is the only way to tour Munich. Our tour guide was Caleb and he did an incredible job. The English Garden was the highlight of the tour, what an amazing park. We enjoyed lunch at the Chinese tower beer garden. We touched on some of the historical sites of the third reich and learned about the post war rebuild. I highly recommend this as a start to your visit. It will get you acclimated to the city and you will learn a great deal. If you are luck you will get Caleb as your tour guide. My family of six enjoyed every minute of the tour and the bike ride was not at all rigorous. I can not imagine a better tour of Munich.
