Start the tour with a great view over the harbor area and plenty of yarned stories about historic sailing and cargo boats like the Rickmer Rickmers and the Cap San Diego.
The old free trade area invites you with the smell of freshly roasted coffee and the screams from the event museum “Hamburg Dungeon”, a walk-through ghost ride. Explore the ancient boiler house, which served the whole district with energy in the early 1900’s and nowadays displays a model of the district and the planned houses and buildings.
After your visit to the boiler house you will continue on to HafenCity and the historic harbor with its historic steam and sail boats.
Witness the amazing architecture of the new philharmonic hall “Elbphilharmonie” that is still under construction and then continue on down to the fine boulevards of HafenCity and the new shopping area.
