Another district designated as UNESCO world heritage site is the Kontorhausviertel (Kontorhaus Quarter) an entire district with just Red brick office buildings. Red-brick expressionism is the keyword for the design of these houses with the most famous building being the Chilehaus, which resembles a ship's bow. It is the most significant artistic and architectural achievement of German Brick Expressionism. Other impressive buildings in this area are Sprinckenhof, the biggest of the Red brick buildings and Montanhof, which was called typewriter".
The UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee has approved Hamburg’s application for the “Speicherstadt and Kontorhaus District with Chilehaus” to be included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage list. The decision was made at the 39th Committee meeting, which was held in Bonn, Germany.行程概要出發地點
