Day 1: BerlinWhen you arrive at your hotel in Berlin, meet your professional guide and get acquainted with your tour group. Spend the evening at your leisure, preparing for your trip or venturing into the city on your own.Overnight: Hotel Sylter Hof Berlin (or similar) in BerlinDay 2: Berlin (B)After an early-morning buffet breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide in the lobby for an extensive city tour of Germany’s capital. Hop aboard the comfortable coach for a view of the city’s top sights with your group. As you pass historical points of interest such as the Berlin Victory Column, Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate and the parliament’s Reichstag building, your guide will provide commentary on each landmark.See what remains of the Berlin Wall as well as the war-damaged spire of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. In the HafenCity quarter, admire the remarkable brick buildings of the Speicherstadt, a warehouse district transformed into offices, hotels, shops and residential buildings.In St Pauli quarter, located on the Elbe’s north bank, watch the boats come in at Landungsbr□cken (Landing Bridges). Then, learn more about Germany’s largest port and view the city from the water on a 1-hour harbor cruise. You’ll ferry past K hlbrand Bridge, the Blohm and Voss shipyards, HafenCity and the picturesque warehouses along the way.Your guide will offer recommendations for you to enjoy your evening at your leisure, such as a walk along the Reeperbahn a famous street that's central to Hamburg’s nightlife, including the red light district once frequented by sailors.Overnight: Best Western Queens Hotel (or similar) in HamburgDay 4: Hamburg Hamelin (B, D)After breakfast, depart for the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, a seafaring town situated on the river Weser. With your group, embark on a guided walking tour and admire the cathedral, city hall and the statue of Roland, which stands tall with sword and shield in the market square (Rathausplatz).Discover the Town Musicians of Bremen, (Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten), a bronze statue of four animals from the fairytale by the Brothers Grimm; legend has it that your wish will come true if you rub the donkey’s hooves! Then, take a stroll through Bremen’s oldest neighborhood, the Schnoor quarter, where old-world houses dating back to the 15th through 18th centuries line the narrow cobblestone streets.Back aboard the coach, see the sites of stories by Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm, as well as where the brothers lived and worked, as you depart from Bremen along the notable German Fairy Tale Route (Deutsche M rchen Strasse). By afternoon you’ll arrive in Hamelin, the setting for the folk tale of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. As you pass through this small town, one of Germany’s best-preserved cities, admire the 12th-century city walls and one of the country’s oldest stone bridges.Your guide will make stops along the road until you reach your final destination of Frankfurt. Great tour, perfect amount of time in each place for an overview of Germany. Friendly tour guide and bus driver.

(We had four people, so Viator made us have two reservations. The following review is duplicated from our "second" reservation for our party.)
Complaint: touring company did not tell us in advance that the hotel for the starting night had changed. We therefore went to the wrong hotel and then had to travel across city to new hotel. This was a considerable inconvenience, particularly in a foreign country. Even the Viator check-in coupon, retrieved the day before going to the hotel, had the name of the old, incorrect hotel. We tried to call the tour operator, during their posted business hours, twice the day before going to the first hotel, but could not reach anyone. We left one voicemail message but never got return call. We did not leave a message the second time.We are aware of at least one other couple that also was not notified and therefore went to the wrong starting hotel.
The tour itself was okay, but if we were going again, we probably would seek a tour with fewer cities but more time in each of those cities. We spent a lot of time on the bus and then were in certain cities as little as two hours before moving on to the next.
