After a pickup from your hotel, start your full-day tour with a 3-hour sightseeing tour of Berlin. Enjoy commentary from your guide about Berlin’s diverse architecture, vibrant art and cultural scene and turbulent World War II and Cold War history as you ride around in a comfortable private vehicle.
Customize the exact itinerary to cover the attractions of your choice, such as Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor), Checkpoint Charlie, Potsdamer Platz, Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom), Charlottenburg Palace (Schloss Charlottenburg) and the town hall.
Hop out to walk alongside the remains of the Berlin Wall, view the world-famous galleries on Museum Island and perhaps shop at Kurf□rstendamm or Friedrichstrasse streets. Be sure to grab some food at Alexanderplatz, Berlin’s most popular square dominated by the iconic TV Tower.
After exploring Berlin, travel for roughly 15 miles (24km) to the city of Potsdam. The crown jewel of the state of Brandenburg, Potsdam holds much historical significance; it was the residence of the Prussian kings and the German kaisers (emperors) until 1918, and was home to the post WWII conference between the victorious allies.
Get an overview of Potsdam on a sightseeing tour of the historical city center, the Russian Colony (Alexandrowka) and the Dutch Quarter. Admire majestic royal residences built during the reign of Frederick the Great such as New Palace, Orangery Palace and Charlottenhof Palace.
Then, enjoy some free time to visit the sites of your choice. Perhaps pay a visit to the Roman Baths, Chinese Tea House or any of the palaces listed above. Don’t miss Sansoucci Palace, one of the largest UNESCO World Heritage sites in Germany, renowned for its remarkable Rococo interior and formal gardens.

This was a 9-hour tour with Dirk as our guide. There were four of us. It was amazing and the time flew by. Dirk was excellent in his descriptions. His knowledge of the history of the palaces and other sites we visited were unsurpassed in detail. The tour could not have been better and Dirk could not have been more informative. This was an overall wonderful experience.

Our tour guide, Bahn I do not know if that is the correct spelling of his name, from the start of our tour to the end, got out of his way to bring us to the different places and gave us an excellent tour.At the start of the tour,he told us the history of Berlin from its medieval past to the present.so, when we arrived at those places, we are somewhat familiar with the place.This tour is highly recommended for seniors, you cover a lot of places Branderburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie,Charlottenburg Palace, Holocaust Memorial, Reichtag, etc. plus Potsdam. There is not a lot of walking and you are picked-up from the hotel and back.
