This 1 or 2 day, hop-on hop-off bus tour is a great introduction to the city, allowing you to explore the top sights at your own flexible pace. See below for more information about upgrading your ticket with a 1-hour river cruise, as well as a list of stops along the route.

Upgrade to Berlin River Boat Tour (15 March - 27 October only)
Add a one hour boat trip to your Berlin hop-on hop-off tour and see the city from another vantage point. The tremendous views of the urban landscape unfold as you cruise along the River Spree. Simply hop-off the tour at Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral) and hop-on the boat tour. Departure between 10:00am and 3:00pm every 30 minutes, on Friday and Saturday until 4:00pm. After the cruise, you can continue to use the hop-on hop-off tickets to explore Berlin.

100% worth taking this HoHo bus, because Berlin is widely spread out for miles and miles.
One caveat: Be careful of the end-of-day schedule. A driver on a bus I was on told everyone to get off at 4:45 p.m. because he was done for the day. I had to walk quite a distance back to the hotel.
