You'll cruise right through the city of Berlin, passing such famous sights as Potsdamer Platz, the Reichstag, Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral and much more.
During the boat trip a variety of snacks, hot and cold dishes and beverages is available onboard. Food and beverages are to be ordered directly onboard and to be paid on spot.Please note: Tours are operated in German, with English written commentary available.

Nice relaxing way to see Berlin. Guide was very knowledgeable and spoke good English which we didn't expect. The weather was lovely too which made it better. Took 3.5 hours but held the attention of two teenagers.

We took the long cruise starting and finishing at Spandau - a bit out of the way for public transport. It is a good way to see parts of the city not accessed by a bus tour. The English commentary was sparse and a bit disappointing - a waiter who spoke English was more helpful in showing us where we were on the map. But altogether good value.

Believe me you won't even like it !! Just to cut to the chase.. There are other gigantic boats right behind the Berlin Cathedral (Berlin Dom) and right in front of the DDR museum.. They look doubtlessly better than this one !!
What makes me not to like is that the tour was very long and boring !! -
To begin- the instructions give to find the location are not adequate. We were dropped off by cab exactly where the instructions said- and ended up scrambling to find the location which was down another street, across a bridge and not clearly marked even when we found it! Our booking also clearly stated that this was an English tour. The guide only spoke in German. We were offered a book to follow along by ourselves. We ended up leaving the tour half way through because we were not learning anything from the commentary- which is why we booked in the first place. Finally- we ordered three coffees- 10.50 euro!! We left before the tour was half over. We have always had good luck with Viatour- this was not up to expectations

What ever you do, do not go to 20 24 Spandauer to catch the cruise or you will miss the boat. Charlottenbourg Palace seems to have a number of entrances, but likely no one there can tell you where to catch the boat. Look for a bridge. Climb down the embankment. There are two companies that have tours. Look for the flag with the star. If you are not staying in this area Charlottesbourg Palace I would not recommend taking this tour as you will spend money for a train unnessarily. if you are staying near the river walk to the river, all along the river there are plenty of options, and you may no need to reserve. Ask if the boat returns to the starting point. Some nice vantage points from the water.

The trip was very nice, but a bit too long.
The guide was very difficult to understand both in German and in English - could be the soundsystem, or his deep tone of voice but it definately would have been a much more interesting trip, if we had got more of the informations as we sail along. -

This tour was amazing!

This started in more of an industrial area, which was a long way from the main part of the city. There were stops where people got off We did that as well. I didn't see anyone getting on at these other stops, but that might have been more conducive to the trip. We would have preferred to get on at the government complex dock and then get off there as well as on the return. The boats were not as modern as many of the others on the river and the English translator lacked knowledge of the language.
