Dont think this was value for money.The guide was good showed us the sites of Rovaniemi and told us about the history of finland and Rovanoemi.We went to Santa village the day before on the local bus at a cost of 24 return for a family of 5. We did most of the things to do there on our own with no problems If your staying in Rovaniemi i wouldn't do this tour just catch the number 8 bus or santa express bus which is approx 10min bus ride that drops you off right outside Santa's Village and picks you up.

Absolutely the worst tour we've been on . Pity I had to give it one star. Please save your money and catch a Santa bus to the village, get a map and do a self guided tour. You'll need half a day to get around the village. Our tour of Rovaniemi was being shown a frozen river, nothing else, no explanation, no interaction, nothing. The guide was not local From Russia asked to help out his friend, not sure if this was the issue. At the village, we were rushed about, hovered over in the shops, to the extent that the guide felt like a security guard. I've never been so uncomfortable in someone's company and couldn't wait for the time to come to an end. A massive let down as this was susposed to be the high light of our trip.

I was a little disappointed in that we did not really get a guided tour of Rovaniemi, just a history of the town as we drove through it on our way to Santa Claus Village. Santa Claus Village is mainly just a bunch of shops and a chance to see Santa.

You have just got to go and see Santa Claus when in Rovaniemi, no matter the time of year, and combining it with this private tour around the town is a great way to do it. Costs for photos etc at Santa's place are extra and stiff, but when will you ever be back here, and you get a private audience with the old man. My guides, a Russian and a Ukrainian guy, were very good and I booked another tour with them, to Ranua Zoo, which was also good.

Santa Village is a magic place where your family can meet Santa. From our experience, the tour is much more magical with a good guide. Rovaniemi city tour was also very informative. Very nice and professionally done tour, and we recommend it to everybody!

Interesting tour with a great guide!
Not 5 starts because our meeting with Santa was not very long, and you cant take the photo with Santa yourself you only can buy it from the elf.
