Meet your guide at your central Prague hotel in the morning of your tour and start your day trip from there. Arrive in Sedlec after an approximate 1-hour drive and see the unique ossuary, whose decoration consists of the remains of more than 40,000 people (skeletons). The Sedlec Ossuary was built to remind people of the transience of human life.
Your next stop will be the Sedlec Cathedral. The monastery once was one of the most important sites of its kind in Bohemia during the 13th and 14th century. It indirectly benefited from participating in silver mining in close-by Kutn□ Hora. A lot of renovations and architectural transformations could have been made due to that, which you will be able to admired on the tour. The new revelatory architectural Baroque Gothic style of the cathedral is truly unique in European.
See also the Romanic edifice of St. James Church, founded in the 12th century and located on a cliff above the river Klejnarka in the middle of a wide village common in Cirkvice. St. James Church has no parallels in entire Czech Republic.
Next, you will explore Chateau }leby, which looks like a fairy tale castle. The former Gothic castle was built before 1289 and rebuilt from 1849-1868 after the English originals. Admire the remarkable collections of antiquities and historical guns, glass, porcelain, ceramics, stained glass, paintings, textiles as well as historical furniture from the Renaissance to the 20th century and much more. Enjoy lunch at U Koso restaurant after your explores the castle, where you will have the chance to taste local Czech cuisine.
Visit the Preserve Game }leby near Kutn□ Hora afterwards, famous for its white deer breeding. The White deer came to Middle Europe from Persia around approximately 1780, where they lived in the wild. The preserve covers an area of over 130 hectares and is connected to Chateau }leby's park. See the presentations of the White deers, birds of prey, owls, martens and falconry.
