This tour starts from Rogac on Solta Island. Be at Split ferry port at least 15 minutes before departure to catch the ferry for Solta. It takes 45 minutes to arrive on the Island. We will be waiting for your in the port of Rogac . When you exit the ferry look for white van with sign "Discover Solta"
When you arrive on Solta, you will be personally guided to the ancient groves . You will love the ride through the island’s untouched nature, with its smells of grass and herbs. In the groves you will meet one of our olive masters who will talk about the oldest cultivated tree in the world. And you will see, touch and feel the leaves and bark of a tree that is more than 1000 years old as you learn all about farming, indigenous Dalmatian varieties of olives and the lifestyles of olive growers on Solta.
The Olive Tour gives you the experience of practically being an islander yourself. We’ll take a relaxing walk through one of the island’s most beautiful typical villages - winding narrow streets, ancient stone houses, life as it has been for countless generations.
When we come to the mill, you will enjoy our full "Taste like a pro" program to understand how to produce the highest quality oil using a blend of tradition and the latest knowledge.
Learning and experience something new is always challenging, especially tasting olive oil. Our “Olive Oil Tasting” program will teach you how to taste olive oil the same way professionals do. It’s an unforgettable experience which you can later share with your family and friends.
Not only will you learn how to taste oil like a pro, but we have special programs where you can learn all about the history of olive oil; discover the importance of the relationship between olive trees and man in this area of the Mediterranean; see how olives are processed into oil and earn all about the quality of olive oil and how it affects your health.
After tasting different oils, immerse in exquisite and unexpected flavors of unique and all naturally flavored olive oils with garlic, lemon, oranges, thyme, rosemary , basil or oregano. If you remain for lunch you will learn how to pair different oil with different dishes and enjoy a very specific local wine. And of course you can browse the Olynthia store for one of the best Croatia extra virgin olive oils. This is ideal place for your gifts.
After lunch is reserved for relaxing walk, swimming or sightseeing the island. It depends on your wishes. At the end of the tour we shall drive you to the ferry port where you can take the ferry back to Split.行程概要出發地點

I highly recommend this tour to everyone! We started with a great tour of the island and a small village in an air-conditioned mini bus before heading out to one of oou fantastic guide's Frane olive groves. Along the way Frane stopped the bus to pick wild herbs, and educated us on the history of the island, which is fascinating. At the olive grove, Frane told us about the production of olive oil from the cultivation of trees to harvesting before heading back to the mill where we saw the impressive processing equipment. Frane's son, Marko, prepared a deliciously home cooked three course meal for us and left us between courses to try all of the amazing Olynthia olive oils they produce on site which gave us a great opportunity to test different tastes and combinations of flavours. The flavours are wonderful and the relaxed setting and helpful guidance from Frane made the experience a lot of fun. There was no hard sell but we were heavily laden with oils when Marko drove us to stretch our legs and walk off our yummy and plentiful lunch at a gorgeous little village on the west side of the island. The last stop of the day was a secluded swimming spot not too far from the ferry port where we swam in crystal clear waters and bathed in the lovely Croatian sunshine. Frane and Marko are wonderful hosts and the interaction between them added an extra element of humour to the tour and we were asking to be adopted by them by the end of the day. This was a superb way to spend my birthday. If you're an olive oil aficionado or not, definitely take this tour!

The tour itself was very informative and interesting however, I felt the price was too high. We opted out of the lunch, which I'm glad we did. The island has nothing to see/do/offer as a way of lengthening the tour, and we ended up catching an earlier ferry back to Split. Maybe during the summer people want to swim there, but in the end of Nov. you sure don't. Maybe you drop your tour price in the fall.

A sensational tour! Solta is striking. Our tour of the olive groves and factory by the proprietor was educational + interesting + fun! Lunch cooked with their olive oil was the most scrumptious pesto ever! Tasting their sustainably produced oils was a delight and I am still enjoying them at home.
