As you already know Dubrovnik is a pearl of Adriatic sea and Mediterranean. The entire old city of Dubrovnik is on UNESCO’s list of protected and significant monuments in the world. It’s known since 7th century and was a city republic for several centuries, until Napoleon came in 1806. That is considered to be the end of Republic of Dubrovnik. It was known worldwide through history by good trading skills and prosperous politics. It was the first republic in the world which forbid slavery, the first quarantine was in Dubrovnik, it had first insurance law in the world and was the first country in the world to acknowledge USA as a country. The city walls surrounding the old town are 2 km long and are very attractive for the visitors because you can see churches, forts and other monuments from a whole different perspective. Dubrovnik is full of historical places, palaces, forts, churches as well as many legends. Many famous writers came to Dubrovnik and wrote about it as they were amazed by it’s beauty.
During this tour you can visit Sr the hill over Dubrovnik which provides a spectacular view over Dubrovnik, you can go there by car or cable car, you can go to Old city of Dubrovnik and visit city walls, as many people say it’s one of the things you have to do in your life. You can also visit Arboretum Trsteno near Dubrovnik which is the oldest arboretum in the world (15th century) and is a home for lots of different species, plants and trees, some of which are 400 years old.
