Viator Exclusive: Game of Thrones Tour in Split (3.5 Hours)
Meet your guide at the UNESCO-listed Diocletian's Palace in Split. Then, hop inside an air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy a short drive to Klis Fortress, a 2,000-year-old stronghold that featured as the city of Meereen in Season 4 of Game of Thrones.
As you follow your guide along the craggy pathways, hear how Daenerys Targaryen launched an attack on the mountaintop city, and reimagine the battle between Meereen's champion and Daario Naharis.
After an hour, return to Diocletian's Palace, which was used for scenes shot behind Meereen's walls. Visit the throne room and other featured locations before descending into the cellars where the slaves conspired to overthrow the masters.
Your tour concludes outside Diocletian's Palace after around 1.5 hours at the UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you've chosen to enjoy the Games of Thrones tour in Split first, your walking tour of Dubrovnik will take place on another day of your vacation.
Viator Exclusive: Game of Thrones Walking Tour of Dubrovnik (3 Hours)
Join up with your guide at Pile Square in Dubrovnik Old Town, then set off on a walking tour of filming locations used in Game of Thrones.
Hear tales of the Targaryen family who were exiled from King's Landing when King Robert Baratheon took the Iron Throne. Then, see where Ayra Stark lived on the streets after war broke out between the Lannisters and the Starks.
Continue to the old city walls that were attacked by the Baratheons in the first series. Then explore Lovrijenac Fortress, which featured in numerous battle scenes. Gaze down at fictional Blackwater Bay from the fort's vantage point, and imagine the bloody Battle of Blackwater taking place outside of its walls. You'll also visit several parks that were used to film scenes.
After three hours, your tour concludes near the original start point. If you've opted to go on the Dubrovnik walking tour first, your Split tour will take place on another day of your trip.
Upgrade: Trsteno Arboretum (5.5 Hours)
If you have more time on your hands, upgrade to see another location. At the end of your walking tour, hop aboard a luxury minibus and travel to Trsteno Arboretum, used as King's Landing palace gardens. Explore it on a guided walking tour, and learn about the War of the Five Kings as you admire the park's Gothic, Renaissance and baroque features. Finish your tour with a drop-off at the start point.

This is an amazing tour if you are a Game of Thrones fan then I highly recommend this tour. My tour guides were very knowledgeable about Game of Thrones you also learne about the local history of the area during this tour. The tour guides use visual aids to show you scenes from the show about the places you visit during the tour.
The tour agency allowed me to change the dates for my tour due to my delayed flight which resulted in me arriving in Croatia a day later than planned. You see many scenes from the show and the tour guides explain each scene thoroughly.
If you love Game of Thrones then I highly recommend you do the entire tour in both split and Dubrovnik.

We booked the combo tour as we are great GOT fans and being on a cruise that visited both Dubrovnik and Split we thought these tours would be a perfect way to spend the day at both cities. We were given very clear and easy to follow directions for meeting our guides and we met up with them without any problems. Our tour guide in Dubrovnik, Lana, was very knowledgeable about the history of Dubrovnik as well as the GOT series and we spent almost 4 hours touring around all the locations. Luka was our guide in Split and we travelled to Klis Fortress in an air conditioned mini bus with two other couples. This was an amazing place. We returned to Diocletians Palace for the second part of the tour. At this point the other two couples left the tour as they were suffering from a bit of over indulgence the previous night and we were given a personalised tour by Luka for the remaining hour. Out of the two tours we preferred Split but both guides we excellent and had still shots of the numerous scenes that were filmed at the locations. Certainly worth going on even if you're not a GOT fan.

Excellent walking tours of Game of Thrones filming locations. Just as interesting, however, is the real life history of Croatia - itty could be a series of its own.
Well worth the time, we'll work the money. You will see the locations s they are and compare them with the way they appeared on the show.... Sometimes surprisingly different, other times exactly the same as the show. Catch the tour before the next season begins! -

I don't see how I can do separate reviews for Dubrovnik and Split, so I have to combine. Both very knowledgeable, not just about the show but history of the cities which I think is important.
Dubrovik specific - went on a Monday, still had a decent sized crowd. Tour guide was Andrea I don't remember her real Croatian name. Doesn't hurt that she was very cute also: I recommend doing the optional tour of the Garden, it's double the cost but you're in a place which is much less crowded and therefore have to deal with less tourists.
Split - went on a Friday, got lucky as it's offseason and I was with only one other person, so we had very exclusive tour, and tour guide showed us a lot more than usual groups during peak season. Tour guide was Marin, lot more of actual city history on this one which was really cool.

Fully recommended for any GoT fan out there.
Both tours, in both Split and Dubrovnik, were organised well with lots of good insight into the GoT show whilst being interlinked with the histories of the either location and Croatia as a whole.
Tour guides on both tours were knowledgable and interesting so I didn't find myself losing interest at any point.

We loved these tours but lots of walking and stairs to climb. Learned local history, too which was very interesting. Beautiful country. Will go again
