Start your tour on the Croatian coast, in Dubrovnik’s beautiful Old Town. Meet your guide and travel onward by minivan, up into the surrounding hills and countryside. Take in the beautiful scenery as you ascend, and pause at a viewpoint to admire the panoramic vistas of the landscape beneath you. Take time to capture the views on camera, before hopping back in your minivan.
Begin the cycling section of your tour in the charming village of Gruda. After listening to a briefing on the route, put on your necessary equipment, including a helmet, and hop on your bike. Listen carefully as your guide explains the important safety aspects of the tour before leaving.
Soon, the sights of Gruda slip into the distance as you follow your guide through quaint villages and hamlets, and past olive groves, orchards, vineyards and waterfalls.
Enjoy frequent stops to take photos and listen as your guide recounts stories of local interest and history. Your cycling route takes you past 400-year-old watermills and a 600-year-old Franciscan monastery, and hearing the history of these fascinating features is sure to be a highlight of your tour. Evidence of the Croatian War of Independence is still visible in the buildings dotted around this part of the country. Hear how four years of conflict once tore through this now-peaceful area.
Break for a swim, and cool off in the clear mountain stream that tumbles down the hillside. Pause along the route for a satisfying lunch of sandwiches ─ they’re just the thing to keep your energy levels high!
With your cycle route completed, dismount at the last stop on the tour: an award-winning winery. Refresh your palate and sample three or four glasses of the many local wines produced in the region; you will certainly have earned it. My friend and I were apparently the only ones to sign up that day, so we had a personal tour guide. He was really good about adjusting the pace and path we took to our needs. I can't remember his name because it was a few months ago but he was funny and fun to spend the day with. The countryside was so beautiful and I highly recommend this tour.

The tour was fabulous. Good bikes, plenty of water and lunch provided. Dubrovnik country side was really pretty, the river was beautiful and refreshing to swim in and our guide Ivan was very friendly and provided a v interesting account of Croatian history. Would highly recommend.

It was a really nice change of scenery, slightly marred by bad weather in the early part but we made the best of it. Our guide was fantastic, I'm sorry I forget his name, but he went above and beyond, even carrying our bikes across a swift moving river for us. If you are looking for an even slightly challenging bike ride, this is not really it, but for an easy cruise through the countryside, it's perfect. The wine tasting was fine, rather short, only somewhat informative.

This tour is very enjoyable in a lovely area at the far reaches of Croatia. This tour does however attract sporty people so make sure you have some level of fitness before going as I was quite embarassed at the back the entire way and missed a lot of the talking about things. But its well run.
