Stroll around the narrow streets of the old town of Dubrovnik and experience the history and culture of this magnificent walled city. On this two-hour walking tour, your local guide will show you the city’s finest sights.
Your tour begins at Pile Gate; walk along the elegant main street and visit the most important sights along the way. In front of the Pile Gate entrance, you'll see the circular Onofrio's Fountain, which is connected by aqueduct to a spring 7.5 miles (12 km) from town. Then see the Franciscan Monastery, containing a restored sculpture of the Pieta and a gorgeous cloister dating back to the 14th century.
Continue walking to Dubrovnik's Renaissance highlight, the Sponza Palace, which now houses the State Archives. Other highlights on this tour include Orlando`s Column, the City Bell Tower, the Rector’s Palace and the Church of St Blaise, the city’s patron saint. Continue across the main square, where you will visit Dubrovnik's baroque Cathedral of the Assumption, built in the 18th century after an earthquake destroyed the original one.行程概要出發地點

Luckily for us we were the only ones on this walking tour and our guide Maria sorry if we've spelt it incorrectly was absolutely wonderful. She had so much knowledge and passion and we learnt such a lot and have a much greater understanding of the history of this beautiful place. It was a wonderful experience which we would highly recommend to others to do.

Not too large. The guide was born and bred in Dubrovnik and is very proud of her country and City. Her English was impeccable. We LOVE Dubrovnik. Its a beautiful and historic city. Safe, Clean, Great food. Nice people..... We want to return! -

Tour was excellent. We had previously been in the town for 2 days giving us a chance to explore the city on our own before we had taken the tour. During the tour we found out many things that were missed during our own exploration. Some of this was done on the tour or pointed out for further explanation after. Also the local guide was able to give several good recommendations for shopping and eating afterwards.

We took the tour that takes place on Thursdays at 1PM, which was perfect because our ferry from Split arrived at 12pm. We had just enough time to check into our apartment and get to the meeting place by the fountain in the square by Pile gate. We were extremely lucky because we were the only 2 people on the tour. Our guide was awesome! She was extremely knowledgeable regarding the history of the city and showed a great deal of national pride when speaking about here beautiful country. She gave us so much information and insight into the town. It was a great way to start off our 3 days in Dubrovnik. We carried her knowledge with us as we explored the city further on our own. This walking tour of the city is a must do for anyone interested in the history of the town.

Having taken Walking Tours all through Europe, my comment is that this tour fell short of all other tours taken. Knowing the quality of Viator tours, I believe that it is rare to find a tour with them where I feel like this. I believe that perhaps it was just a tour guide specific issue. The kindest way to describe our experience is that it was very Politically Correct. We took a taxi tour, of outside the Old town walls, the day before and it was awesome! A discussion of how Old Town Dubrovnik was shaped to be what it is today, could add true flavor to this tour.

Compliments to the guide - we had so much rain and wind the dishes were flying off the outdoor tables, table umbrellas flying about. The guide kept her cool, quickly moved our group out of the way of flying crockery and, I think, adapted her tour on the fly because of the extreme weather. In spite of the weather, we had a great time and really enjoyed the tour.
