After morning pickup from your Santiago hotel, travel with your guide northwest of the city for 90 minutes to Estancia El Cuadro, a popular winery and cultural center located in Casablanca Valley. This winemaking region is renowned for producing top-notch sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and pinot noir, thanks to the cool foggy morning mist from the ocean.
Arrive at the manicured estate of Estancia El Cuadro, spanning nearly 5 acres (2 hectares), and pass by a glittering pond with a fountain and a bridge, with walking trails spread throughout the property. Begin your tour with a 25-minute horse-drawn carriage ride showing you the grounds, and learn what makes the viticulture in Casablanca Valley stand out from other wine regions.
Next, go for a tasting of some of these sought-after wines. Sample two wines, one red (cabernet, carm□n□re or syrah) and a white (chardonnay or sauvignon blanc), paired with cheese and dried fruit. Then stroll through the on-site Wine Museum, the first of its kind in Casablanca Valley, and learn from your guide about the history of Chile’s vinification dating back to the 1900s.
Change up the pace and watch a folkloric show with huasos, the Chilean version of Argentina's gauchos, skilled horsemen and masters of the rodeo who bring some of Chile’s traditions and music to life.
Afterward, head to the terrace for an aperitif and a three-course lunch, which comes with unlimited beverages and wine. As you dig into the gourmet meal featuring Chilean cuisine, soak up spectacular views of the vineyard and the coastal mountains.
Enjoy free time after lunch to unwind in the garden. Don’t forget to browse through the wine shop for souvenirs and bottles to take home, before your transport takes you back to your Santiago hotel.

What a wonderful excursion to the estancia. This ranch is fantastic. Had a tour of the museum, a delightful horse and carriage ride, tastings, a tour of the vineyards, a horse/gaucho demonstration, and a delicious lunch. I like that they have each one of the rows of vines labeled with the type of grape grown. I've travelled to Santiago for the past 9 years and am glad I finally had a chance to experience this treasure. El Cuadro is in a lovely setting. At the time we were there, they were preparing for a wedding.

We enjoyed our time at the winery. It rained heavily much of the day but we still enjoyed the carriage ride, show and explanation of the various wines on the site.
