After your cruise docks at the Port of Valparaiso, meet your guide and head out on the 2.5-hour drive to Santiago for your group sightseeing tour. Pass through Santiago's civic center to see top attractions of historical and architectural importance such as the cathedral at the Plaza de Armas, Santiago’s central square, and the 18th-century Moneda Palace, built in neoclassical style. You’ll see the Museum of National History and the Central Post Office as your guide offers commentary along the way.
Next, go through Parque Forestal, a lovely urban park planted with nearly 2,000 trees, and continue to the bohemian district of Bellavista to climb Santa Lucia Hill (Cerro Santa Luc□a). At the top, enjoy the staircases, fountains and fantastic views of Santiago with the Andes mountains in the background.
Then, visit the handicraft village of Los Graneros del Alba to admire its fine selection of items such as jewelry, ceramics and clothing all made by resident artists.
After the tour, your guide will pick you up at the Port of Valparaiso and drop you off at the Santiago airport or select downtown Santiago hotels.

Isobel was the perfect tour guide, enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and well-informed. We were so happy that we had an opportunity to spend time with Isobel she made our tour of our winery and of Santiago memorable. Her background information of Santiago was immense and her personal touches with information made our tour so much more interesting. If we return to Chile, we will definitely ask for her to be our guide.

This was likely the best of several Viator tours we have taken. The tour guide and driver were outstanding. The tour guide, Patricia, was knowledgeable in every area of interest and importance to us. Her English skills were the best of any tour guide from a non-English speaking country and the tour was well planned and organized. Highly recommend the tour, especially with this particular guide.

We were met promptly at the port by our guide Pedro after a 17-day cruise to South America. Our first stop was Valparaiso. What a fun place to visit with it's vibrant color and hippie flair. We were told a great deal about the history of the area and of Chile. We then drove to Vina Del Mar where we had a lovely lunch with locals. The drive continued on through the valley of the Casablanca vineyards. Arriving in Santiago we saw all the highlights, the Palace, Museum, the Plaza and Cathedral. Guide and driver showed up at ship on time. Took us on comprehensive tour of Valpariso and surrounding area. Plenty of photo ops. Quite knowledgeable of areas history. Rode the cable car! Easy drive to Santiago. Again, knowledgeable and quite interesting tour of central city and government buildings. Drove to a lovely park overlooking city. We were dropped off at hotel. Guide stayed with us to make certain everything was in order. Definitely worth it.
