Take a day trip to the Valle Nevado ski resort from Santiago for a fun, relaxing winter getaway. Soak up the pristine scenery and breathe in the crisp mountain air as you explore the slopes on your own or take a beginner ski or snowboard lesson!
With a vertical height of 2,658 feet (810 meters), an average snowfall of more than 300 inches (762 cm) per year, and an expansive terrain with a wide variety of runs, Valle Nevado caters to skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.
If you choose to take a lesson, you'll learn the basics of skiing or snowboarding from an expert instructor during. Depending on your group size, you'll have either a 1- or 2-hour lesson, which comes with a lift ticket to the beginner runs, where you can put your new skills to the test after your session. Most of the runs at Valle Nevado are geared toward beginner and intermediate skiers, but advanced skiers will still have plenty of runs to choose from, including groomed slopes and trails such as Bossa Nova and El Shake.
Between the 11 lifts and more than 100 trails, you’ll enjoy run after run amidst gorgeous snowy peaks. You can also visit Valle Nevado's terrain park, one of the best in Chile, designed and maintained for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders. Try out boxes, jumps, quarter-pipes and more!

Skiing was fantastic, but time on the slopes was extremely disappointing 4.5 hours out of a 12.5 hour day due to tour company logistics for ski/boot pick-up total of three hours of wasted time. We were picked up at 7:30am at our hotel, but stopped for skis/boots at El Colorado, about 1.5 hours out of the way. Bus did not have ski rack ??? so skis/boards were shoved underneath seats and aisle, making for an uncomfortable ride to Valle Nevado, and a pretty interesting walk up the aisle of the bus in ski boots. Arrived at Valle Nevado at 11:45. Guide didn't speak English, so found out from others on the tour that we needed to be back at the bus at 4:30pm. Dropped off skis/boots another 1.5 hours out of the way. Arrived back at hotel at 8pm. Definitely do NOT recommend this tour. Very disappointed in Viator for not disclosing full details.

Every expectation was met by the crew. Skiing was hard! But the tour was well worthwhile.
