After hotel pickup from Santiago, travel south for 30 minutes and arrive at the beautifully landscaped grounds of Santa Rita winery, located in Alto Jahuel in the well-known Maipo Valley.
Meet your winery guide next to the vineyards sprawled about the Andes foothills, where you’ll learn about this winery founded in 1880 and its beginnings as one of the first estates in Chile to grow and develop European grape varieties. Step inside fermentation cellars and the bottling plant, and learn what happens to the grapes once they’re harvested from the vines.
Pass by ‘Bodega 1’ for a glimpse of colonial-era stone and mortar construction, and then listen to how Do a Paula Restaurant became a national monument. In 1814, Do a Paula, the owner of Santa Rita manor, hid 120 independence fighters, known as the ‘120 Patriots,’ in her cellar. When Spanish forces came to search the premises, the matriarch stood her ground. Learn more from your guide what this brave woman said to successfully fend off the Spanish army.
As a tribute to this history, the winery created the 120 label, a bestselling series that you’ll taste at the wine bar. Sample three types of varietals, including cabernet sauvignon, merlot, chardonnay or syrah; maybe pick up scents of raspberries, strawberries or cherries balanced with a trace of vanilla or some other spices. (Spend your remaining time sipping wine in the garden or explore the on-site Andean Museum, containing more than 3,000 pre-Columbian artifacts, including an impressive gold collection.
Climb aboard your vehicle and take a short drive to Concha y Toro winery. You may want to purchase some lunch at a restaurant nearby before starting the winery tour.
Enveloped by the foothills of the Andes, begin your tour of the 1883 winery next to the former summer home of the Concha y Toro family and then follow your winery guide to the Pirque vineyards to learn about the winery’s practices behind cultivating the grapes. From the terrace, capture sweeping views of the valley and perhaps spot the master vineyard keepers responsible for keeping an eye on the vines.
Next, taste Casillero del Diablo (the Devil’s Cellar), an internationally popular wine produced from a carmenere varietal, a grape originally from Bordeaux but now Chile’s signature grape. Then head down into the winery’s cellar, also referred to as Casillero del Diablo and learn about how the wine got its name ─ did the devil really live in this cellar, or did the winery founder tell this tall tale to deter would-be thieves from his private collection of wine?

The tours were excellent. The only hiccup was waiting for the coaches to pick us up. The wine tours were excellent and very enjoyable.

It's great to visit 2 different types of wineries. For what it is, it's too long, particularly the lunch almost 2 hours at a Chilean restaurant, which menu and atmosphere is not the best.
Logistics from local operator are poor. They pick you up in your hotel, then go to Parque Arauco for change bus and then go to the selected tour. They confirmed me they'd pick me up at 8am they arrived 845am

Nice tour, Santana Rita is super nice, but Concha y Toro does not let u walk around by yourself thru the park or anywhere around. Disappointing. After tour is done u can only be at the shop or restaurant there. Santa Rita is much more better, u can walk around and make pictures, and super nice coffee shop too.

Amazing tour with amazing guides! Santa Rita felt more authentic in my opinion, but I had a nice time at Concha Y Toro too. Santa Rita also gave us full pours, so you definitely get your money's worth. Highly recommend.

We should have seen 4 wineries, not 2, in the time we spent on this hell hole of a tour. Lunch was an absolute disaster and was 3.5 hours long! There was no adherence to any sort of schedule. I'm glad I saw these two wineries but this should have been a half day tour, not a full day. I could have done better and probably cheaper with an Uber. Wasted half a valuable Santiago vacation day on this atrocity of a tour. The only good thing I can say about this tour is that Santa Rita and Concha y Toro did an AMAZING job! They are not part of Viator / Turistik though so it makes sense to me.

This was an excellent and interesting tour. Santa Rita felt more authentic and personal than Concha y Toro. The winery tour guide sorry, don't remember her name was great. The only complain is that, after the tour was finished, we stayed there over one hour to view the small museum and purchase refreshments it was too long. Afterward, we went to a nearby restaurant on the way to Concha y Toro. The food was fine. Cost of the meal was extra as advertised. The menu was lengthy and hard to figure out even for me who read Spanish.
The Concha y Toro winery tour was highly organized it felt a little like you were at one of Disney's parks. Very robotic. The grounds were beautiful. Everything was fine but without authenticity.
The bus tour guide provided interesting commentaries about Chile and the region we were visiting. -
The tour was fantastic ! All the guides well preprared, transportation always on time and special thanks to Mathias, the guide at Santa Rita winery.
