Looking to combine the excitement of rafting in the Yukon with the relaxation of being in the great outdoors? This full-day rafting trip on the Watson River is suitable for all experience levels, making it a great day out for families, couples and friends.
After pickup from your Whitehorse or Carcross hotel, you’ll be shuttled to the river just north of Carcross. Disembark at a secluded spot on the Watson River just below a beautiful canyon and waterfall. Here your guide will provide a safety and gear briefing. Once you’re ready, don your lifejacket, grab your paddle and start your adventure on the Watson River!
Most of your time on the river, the water will be flowing at a steady even pace, perfect for learning from your expert guide about the animals, flora and fauna of the Yukon. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the river banks as you float through the forest and meadows next to the water. You’ll have plenty of time to take pictures while on the river and during an optional hike.
Midway, stop for a lunch that includes homemade sandwiches, fresh fruit, vegetables and dip, sweet treats and beverages.
After your lunch break, you’ll get some excitement as you run through a canyon with class II-III rapids, before the river resumes its leisurely pace.
The trip ends when you arrive at Bennett Lake. Here you can get breathtaking views of the rugged Coast Mountains before heading to shore for your transport back to Carcross or Whitehorse.
The drive from Whitehorse takes about 50 minutes and passes through incredible scenery along the way.行程概要出發地點
