Your Vancouver North Shore day trip starts with pickup from Vancouver or Richmond (select hotels only) and a drive over the Lions Gate Bridge, a 5,890-foot (1,823-meter) suspension bridge that offers unparalleled views of Vancouver Harbor, and beyond.
Once you get across to the North Shore, continue on a short drive up the mountain to the Capilano Fish Hatchery (11am departure only). Learn about the life cycle of salmon from your guide and, depending on the season (July - August), watch as they leap their way upriver.
Next, head to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, where you'll meander along the surrounding temperate rain forest and learn the traditions of the Indigenous People. Then, walk across the 460-foot (140-meter) bridge to the other side of the river, where you can climb to the canopy and walk through the Treetops Adventure walkway high above the canyon and river below.
For those seeking a more thrilling experience, try the Cliffwalk, the newest attraction at the bridge. This adrenaline-pumping journey will take you through the rainforest on a series of suspended walkways jutting out from the granite cliff face to unexplored territories of the park.
At the Grouse Mountain Skyride, hop on the tram and travel to a 3,937-foot (1,200-meter) viewpoint above the city and enjoy nature’s spectacular view. In the summertime, you can see Mount Baker and Vancouver Island off British Columbia’s coast. You can also get up-close views of grizzly bears at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife.
After your North Shore experience, relax on the drive back to Vancouver.

This is an easy trip, just across the bridge in North Vancouver. It was raining the day we went, but that did not diminish the enjoyment. The tour guide was great and the hotel pickup was right on time. The bridge is amazing plus they have the added attractions of the Cliffwalk and the Treetop Adventure. You also have the opportunity to learn about the First Nations peoples. They have a nice gift shop and some snacking options as well. This was well worth the time to take this tour. Be aware though that during the peak time periods the attractions can get quite crowded.

It was raining and foggy throughout the tour but we got a chance to see the two Grizzly Bears closely at Grouse Mountain and watched the bird and lumber jack show. Didn’t see much at Salmon fish hatchery. Overall it was an ok tour.

I expected many less people. It was similar to a cattle drive. Belly to belly on the tram, and on the swinging bridge. No nature stops, just the tourist sites.

Jason, our guide, was excellent in providing all the info we needed about the trip. Capilano was just a wonderful place to visit. Grouse Mountain was also great providing spectacular views of the city and some nice attractions on the grounds. Best of all, booking this tour included VIP access so you don't have to wait on lines to cross the Capilano Bridge or wait for the gondola at Grouse Mtn. Highly recommend this trip. Just a lovely day

But everytime I get a good guide it is worth the dollars for the experience. Kudos to Aubyn and Alexis for their expert guidance on both tours. Bother we’re knowledgeable of geo, history and logistics. To be a guide you have to be patient, fast on your feet and talk while driving and 10 million other things. I found this in both and a dash of humor.
