This is the food tour for all you culinary adventurers! Take a trip around the world in one lunch as we sample a variety of cuisine from various cultures in the multi-cultural enclave of Kensington Market, including a stop in Chinatown.
Meet your guide and tour group at Kensington Market in downtown Toronto. Then, follow your guide on an easy 2.5-hour stroll through the area, a distinctive multicultural neighborhood in Downtown Toronto. One of the city’s oldest and well-known neighborhoods, this unique area is a National Historic Site of Canada.
Visit a diverse mix stores, bakeries and vendors including Chinese and Latin American kitchens. Indulge in sweet and savory treats from all over the world such as Syrian hummus, Mexican churros, Indigenous frybread and more. Your experience includes a typical 'Canadian' dish with a custom Tasty Tours twist designed just for the tour. All tasting fees are included.
In between stops, your guide will teach you about the history and culture of food in Toronto.

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour. The only thing I would change is to provide wet wipes and or hand sanitizer. Also make it known that drinks are not included.

Highly recommend! Audrey was a wonderful guide who presented a wonderful mix of history, fun facts and cultural foods.

So much fun! Loved all the food choices, it was interesting to try some new stuff. Our guide was really nice too.

Tour was fine although my taste buds were all over the place afterwards. The poutine fries were way too heavy and stifled the tasting that came afterwards. I would suggest replacing this with something a little more stimulating to the taste buds rather than stodge and leaving the sweet tasting until all the savoury tasting is finished we had the popcorn tasting in between savoury tasting.

This is an awesome tour if you like sweets! It also is great for helping you to find amazing stores like Toronto Popcorn Company that you may not have discovered on your own. Well worth it!

Interesting enough, but a tour isn't necessary. You can do the Kensington markers on your own.

Our tour was led by a really lovely young girl called Phoebe. I liked her sense of humour. She wasn't to intense as a tour guide like a wannabe actor like some guides tend to be, she was chilled out.
GO HUNGRY!!!! You get a nice little amount of snacks on your way around. Although would have been nice to have a sample of something for us to take home.
As a part of toronto I really liked Kensigton Market. It's kinda like Camden, in London. Quirky stores, organic cheap food markets, multi cultural caf□s etc. ithey don't allow any corporate shops there so everything's unique and family run. It's got graffiti everywhere and is quite run down but it's all part of the charm
I don't want to go through too many details as I liked not knowing what we were going to try next.
But the only thing I will say is that I would have liked to hear a bit more about the neighbourhood/Toronto than the history of chocolate.
It's a nice way to spend a chilled out afternoon.
Oh and also if you want to buy anything from the Bakery at the beginning buy it before as you end somewhere different.
