Your half-day shore excursion in the Quebec countryside starts as you depart the Quebec City port and head out of town. Follow Avenue Royale through the traditional villages and farms of the Beaupr□ Coast as your bilingual guide provides entertaining commentary that will re-create the tranquil pace and way of life of Canada’s bygone era.
Your tour includes 30 to 45 minutes each at Montmorency Falls and the basilica of Ste-Anne-de-Beaupr□. You’ll also take a short detour to the western tip of the Isle of Orleans to visit its chocolaterie (chocolate shop). Another highlight is the Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum which is in Sainte-Anne de Beaupre.
We will then drive back to town where our started.

The city tour was enlightening and well narrated. The drive to the falls was colorful and entertaining. I just wish we had a little more time at the falls. For a half day tour, this gave us a lot for our money and time. We hit it perfect for fall colors.

I would rate this excursion higher but cannot due to the issues we encountered. I booked this tour for 5 travelers, my elderly parents, 2 sisters and I. My mother is in a wheelchair and this was advertised to be a wheelchair friendly tour. Francois, our bus driver/tour guide was great. He is a local so he knew the area very well and gave us the history and little known tips about the area. The Falls and St. Anne's basilica were wonderful, the bathroom stop on the Orleans island was a joke, it had such a long line, it took the entire time of the stop. Even worse: 1) The meeting place was a lot more than 3 minutes (as advertised) from the port of our ship. Our ship was the Silverseas Spirit that stopped further down the river. We had to take a shuttle and walk 8 minutes to the Museum of Civilization. This took over 45 minutes with a wheelchair. Wish we had known that beforehand. 2) There was no ramp for the wheelchair, so getting on and off the bus each time was a slow and painful process for my mother. 3)We were suddenly told we had to switch buses before our final stop, people started pouring on, before we could get off. These people were pushing and shoving to get our seats. It was extremely stressful, to get my elderly parents off and find 2 taxis back to our ship. It spoiled the whole excursion for us, plus it added the unexpected taxi fares. I would recommend the excursion but NOT if you have passengers in a wheelchair.

First the driver and guide, John Pierre,was excellent. Although it rained and the windows were fogged with condensation he walked around and handed out paper towel to wipe off so one could see. He was entertaining, had a sense of humor, was respectful and really knew a lot about Canada and the four stops the tour included. Now for Viator, not so impressed as we were told to meet in front of the museum which cost us $10 taxi ride, when after picking us and a few others up he proceeded to pick up other passengers including some that were staying at the same hotel we were staying at! Shame on Viator! Lynn and Jerry H.

One of the best tours for the price. Good tour spot selections and time spent at each. Well worth your time.

The tour was great but the info about how far it was to meet the tour guide was not correct. I was told a 3 min walk which turned out to be a 15 min walk. This was not so bad but than the driver went to pick up other passengers in the upper town and we could of meet the bus there and taken a free shuttle from our ship to meeting place.. Different ships dock different places and the company should be a where of this.

Sorry to say the the tour fell below my Viator prior experiences. The bus was too loud to hear the driver/tour guide. It looked like a reconditioned school bus.

Relaxing, easy tour. Informative, personable guide. Enjoyed the Church and the Falls. Could have skipped the short tram car ride. Additional stops included at the jam and copper stores which were worthwhile. However, if you are short on time, the Quebec walking tours would be a better choice.

Our guide and driver Alain was very knowledgeable. The tour was awesome. The falls were spectacular and St Anne de Beaupre church was breathtaking. I'd recommend this tour to everyone, including cruisers.
