You will have 3 hours of time to explore Niagara Falls independently. Most people will do the Hornblower Niagara Cruise during this time (available as a package with the tour). You can choose to have your lunch at any of the restaurants or fast food eateries in Niagara Falls and you can even eat your lunch right at the brink of the falls where the water goes over the drop. Other activities you can choose to do independently are the Skylon Tower, The Journey Behind the Falls and the IMAX amongst many others. There are also casinos for the adults and Clifton Hill (arcades and Ferris Wheel) for the kids. Wander around taking photos and enjoy the ambience of being at this wonder of the world.

See the largest floral clock in the world and take your photo at one of the most photographed attractions in the Niagara region.

Explore the quant little town of Niagara-on-the-lake for a 60 minute stop in the morning before the crowds arrive. Walk to the mouth of the Niagara River (5 minute walk) and check out the view. Shop around at the boutique stores and take photos with the horse drawn carriages. This is a very popular stop and you will enjoy your one hour of free time here exploring.

Super easy way to get from Toronto to Niagara falls, as well as learning about the region along the way and making a few stops at points of interest. Tour guide was very informative and made the drive enjoyable. Once at Niagara falls you have ~3 hours to do whatever you want, before returning to Toronto.

Excellent tour - our guide, Dave, was knowledgeable and friendly. Perhaps 3.5 hours at the actual Falls is too long but the whole trip is entertaining.
