After being picked up from your hotel in Osoyoos, take in the breathtaking scenery that is the southern Okanagan (oak-a-NOG-in) Valley: the rolling, vine-clad hills, the tall mountains, the blue lakes. Say hello to the See Ya Later Ranch, where you’ll savor some charcuterie, including cured meats from North Vancouver’s Two Rivers Meats.
The next stop is Jackson-Triggs, the most awarded winery in all of Canada. Sample some of the delicious wines in the intimate tasting gallery. Then it’s on to Inniskillin Okanagan, where you’ll discover how ice wine is made and the difficult practice of producing a drinkable and tasty beverage from this one-of-a-kind nectar. Ice wine grapes are harvested in the winter months from grapes naturally frozen on the vine. The result, as you’ll taste, is a robust and concentrated flavor.
On the final stop of the 6-hour tour, taste the wine offerings from Nk’Mip Cellars, Canada’s first aboriginal-owned-and-operated winery. Feed your appetite with an aboriginal-inspired lunch.
