This 5-hour tour will take you to Recife and Olinda, sister cities which have urban centers with many historical monuments and tourist options, ensuring much to explore on your tour. The course of your ride starts along the beach of Boa Viagem, part of the district south of Recife, where you can admire the beauty of its beach and squares.
The first stop is the neighborhood of Recife (or Recife Antigo), home to the historic city center. It is there where the oldest buildings, which also meet the memory of the Dutch invasion. The most important point of the neighborhood is Ground Zero, where starts the official count from city distances. That way lies the old Railway Line, way of sugar and cotton transport locomotives, and the Crystal Pillar, the main point of the sculptures Francisco Brennand park.
Bom Jesus street, knows the Embassy of Olinda Dolls, where the famous giant puppets of the carnival are made. You will also have the opportunity to contemplate the SKahal Zur Israel Synagogue, the Malakoff Tower, Armory Square, Frevo Space and the Port Authority.
At the second stop, explore the seat of the state of Pernambuco, called the Palace of the Princesses, along with the Santa Isabel theater and the Palace of Justice. In use to this day, they are fine examples of neoclassical architecture and frame the historic Republic Square.
Meet in the continuation of the tour on the slopes of Olinda, some of the many historic churches in the city. Home to Benedictine, Carmelite and Franciscan, religious orders of Catholicism, buildings and religious art were of great influence to the cultural background of the city, and ensure beautiful architectural statements since the beginning of colonization. The High Olinda City became so full of culture that was declared Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity
Between visiting the buildings, check out a presentation of frevo, rhythm and catchy dance popular regional culture. Have fun also learning a few steps with the dancers. That chart it is possible to visit the small market with colorful and creative souvenirs, typical of Olinda people.
Following to the Cathedral, join the gazebo and enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the city to take pictures. Visit some internal parts of the church, including the Dom Helder Camara's grave and listen to the history of the building architecture. Soon after, in another handicraft market, you will have free time to relax, have an ice cream or try recipes.
