After booking, you can contact the local tour operator to customize your La Paz experience with your private guide. Your guide will then create a personalized itinerary for you and your group that includes both major landmarks and off-the-beaten-path sites where you can interact with locals and get a better look at life in La Paz.
On the day of your tour, your guide will pick you up in a private vehicle and chauffeur you around the city, providing interesting commentary along the way. Typical itineraries are broken into three themes and may include some of the following attractions, depending on your interests.
Historical landmarks and colonial architecture:
Admire sights like the Baroque-mestizo architecture of San Francisco Church, originally founded in 1548; Metropolitan Cathedral, built in 1835; the Spanish colonial buildings that line Ja□n Street (Calle Ja□n); and the Presidential Palace, located on Plaza Murillo, the city’s main plaza, also home to the Bolivian Congress.
Museums and markets:
La Paz is known for its many museums, several of which are concentrated on Ja□n Street. Top museums and other cultural centers that you may want to visit include the National Museum of Art, the Ethnography and Folklore Museum, the Museum of Musical Instruments, the Textile Museum, the Murillo House, the Gold Museum and the National Museum of Archeology.
Don’t miss the chance to witness local Andean life at one or two colorful markets, where you can browse wares like embroidered shawls, alpaca wool, silver artwork and artisan crafts that make great souvenirs and gifts. Two of the most popular mercados include the Witches Market, where you’ll find herbs and other traditional remedies of the Aymara (the indigenous people of this region), or the Lanza Market, one of the city’s main food markets.
Panoramic sights:
Let your guide drive you to the best vantage points to admire the city skyline and take some beautiful photos. Then head about 6 miles (10 km) out of the city to explore Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna), named for its lunar-like landscape of pinnacles and canyons, caused by erosion of the mountains.
At the end of your private tour, you'll be returned to your hotel, ready to continue your exploration of the city on your own.行程概要出發地點

This tour exceeded expectations. Guide was friendly and informative and went out of his way to give some local colour to the tour. We were not sure what to expect of La Paz but came away with a very positive impression.

It was a good tour. The guide did everything to familiarize us with the history of La Paz and Bolivia at-large. Moon valley and cable cars are the major attraction here and they try to sell it in every way possible - great marketing with some quality and ideal tour schedule. The museum and witches market were also great! I must admit the guide did a more better job than the sites here!

We had a great tour with Juan. It was supposed to be a 3.5 hour tour, but he spent almost 5 hours with us. He also took us to a local restaurant to enjoy some local food. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. The driver is very nice as well and since it's a private tour, we had the entire car to the two of us. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the three hours - we learnt things about La Paz and Bolivia that we had not discovered for ourselves. It was great riding on the yellow and green gondolas - really get a birds eye view of the city which seems to go on forever. The ride out to Moon Valley gave us a completely different perspective of La Paz - and how the other half live!

Love this tour! I was the only passenger in the tour so it was more personalized. Loved the Moon Valley tour, beautiful landscape, my tour guide was also a musician and he played the charango for me at one of the charango stores by the Witches Alley. Definitely recommend this tour as an introduction to La Paz.

The Gondola ride provided great views of the city, however we were not told that we were only taking it one way and failed to take many interesting photos. Moon Valley was interesting and worth a visit. Few tourists that day. City tour/Witches' Market was informative. A great afternoon tour!

This was absolutely worth it. The guide and our driver were passionate about the country and its rich culture. He expained us everything and didnot rush atall.

The tour certainly allows an overview of La Paz, both geographically and historically. We had a private tour with use of a car and cablecar to get around the city in a comfortable and efficient manner. The tour was well varied visiting historic sites and landmarks.
The major issue was the tour guide, who sadly left a rather bitter feel to the city. Juan was an abrasive character, spending mush of his time on his phone discussing other jobs, he wouldn't answer questions, and usually spoke over us if we did ask him anything. His knowledge was poor, unless it was about something metaphysical, alien, or involving his musical talents. He seemed thoroughly bored to have to guide us around his city.
We had a number of private tours around the cities of Latin America, and all were excellent with this sole exception.
The tour itself is a great way to orientate yourself to La Paz and its history in a short time, but just make sure you find a different guide! -
Rushed due to compounding two tours in one day. Probably spent 10 minutes at the Moon Valley before off the the other tour.

I highly recommend Oscar on the very enjoyable and informative guide of La Paz on 1/4/16. He was extremely friendly and polite as well as entertaining and very knowledgeable of La Paz and it's history! Thank you for a great day!
