Detrich was an incredible tour guide and source of information, there is so much territory to cover he always was able to explain it at the personal and human level, I learned a lot, the most moving was the Ceremony at The Menin Bridge known as the Last Post, which unknown to me takes place at 8 PM 365 Days a year which pays tribute to those Lost and never recovered and I got to witness this very dignified Ceremony in which Family Members and still place Wreaths in remembrance of their Loved ones.

This could have been a great tour but we had a poor guide who did not give enough info on the sights we were going to see and simple things like what time and when to meet after lunch. The group was too big and they skipped 2 of the places we were supposed to visit. At the end they dropped us off at a different spot which was about a 30 min. walk to the city center

A moving experience visiting the war cemetries from seeing the grieving parent statues in the German cemetery to the moving Last Post Ceremony at the Menen Gate ceremony.

excellent tour , long day but worth it all. would like to see hill 62 sanctuary wood be included.
Didn't have lunch in the cheese factory had lunch in the hotel was not told that there would be ham as both of us are vegetarians.
We had to say to drop us off at the same place otherwise it would have been the station so he did go there afterwards.
Hill 62 is a must in this tour it should be included -
This trip was very good value for money. A long day about 9.5 hours but a lot was crammed in. The Tour Guide Johan and coach driver, sorry don't know your name, were very good. Johan was a fountain of knowledge. The lunch provided was also good. Would highly recommend this trip.

Amazing day though long. We were staying in Bruges and had to meet at 10.30am and returned back to Bruges at approx. 9.30pm.We were lucky enough to have good weather which helped as a lot of the time on the tour you are walking outside. Our guide was fantastic. Unfortunately cannot remember his name. He was so informative and knew little extras which made the trip more interesting. He conveyed so much information but did not bombard us so that it became too much to take in. The cemeteries and the battlefields sites were very moving and upsetting. There are so many cemeteries in this area. It is hard to take in the number of soldiers killed here and their young ages and so many of the graves are unmarked. We had a vested interest in the area as my grandfather fought in this area during WW1. The driver was very good and the coach comfortable and clean. We had plenty of time to explore the sites on our own and also to grab food where necessary. The lunch provided was adequate. Our guide advised us where to stand and at what time to arrive at the Menin Gate to be able to see the ceremony and make a quick exit to the coach park. All in all a wonderful day. If only all young people could take this tour then it might make the younger generation think twice about the foolishness and terrible waste of lives in a war.

Excellent tour and our guide was amazing. Very moving to see the battlefields and sights.

The only problem was the directions provided were to meet the bus at 10.15 am at Brudge were incorrect. We had to ask locals were the likely pick up point would be. The bus / coach terminal outside the city. The guide was excellent but the bus was an hour late. The tour was good value for money from Bruges. Thank you
