Pass By: Tangol, Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District
Full-Day Tour (8 hours)
Meet your guide in central Buenos Aires, and start your Delta adventure by listening to a little history about the development and expansion of Buenos Aires through the years. With your guide, board the boat at Puerto Madero and head to Tigre.
Half-Day Tour (4 hours)
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in either the morning or afternoon (depending on option selected) or, if your hotel is out of the pickup area, meet your guide in central Buenos Aires.
Pass By: Delta El Tigre, Tigre, Province of Buenos Aires, Central Argentina
Full-Day Tour (8 hours)
Cruise along the Costanera Navigation Canal, parallel to the Buenos Aires shoreline, passing the River Plate Stadium and the University of Buenos Aires.
Then, cruise through the canals of the delta, one of the largest in the world. Discover how the inhabitants of the delta turned it from a swampy area into a developed region with grass paths and canals of fresh water. Pass yacht clubs, waterfront houses on stilts, a market, and the house and museum of former Argentina president Sarmiento, who encouraged people to make their homes here.
In Tigre, hop on a bus, where you'll head to Puerto de Frutos. Here, follow your guide to the port that connects life on the islands with the mainland. It’s a lively and popular spot where you’ll have some time to take photos and walk around. You can also grab a bite to eat (own expense).
Next, visit Paseo Victoria where you'll have a chance to ato visit various museums including Museo del Mate, Naval Museum or Tigre and Art Museum (tickets not included).
Finally, head to the Tigre train station, where you will take a train back to the city of Buenos Aires. After approximately one hour, you will arrive to the Retiro train station, where your tour ends.
Half-Day Tour (4 hours)
On board a comfortable coach, ride along Costanera Avenue, parallel to the Rio de la Plata, and head out of the city center to San Isidro.
See its cathedral and the many mansions inhabited by old aristocratic families before continuing on to Tigre. Here, board a catamaran for a 40-minute cruise through the delta. See how people live on the islands and interact with floating services: the supermarket boat, water taxi and more. See the homes built on stilts and President Sarmiento’s home/museum.
At the end of the boat ride, return to port to re-board your coach for the drive back to Buenos Aires, where you tour ends downtown at either 1pm or 6pm (approx.).
Stop At: Paseo Victorica
Enjoy a walk through the Paseo Victorica, a beautiful promenade on the banks of the river

Fine one day trip. It was fine. Nothing else to report except frustration will need for 100 characters to complete .

Pick up at selected hotel on time, nice trip to Tigre. Maybe a 5 min stop in San Isidro just to take a picture would be great. The guide was repeating same things in Spanish Portuguese and English.. Amazing!!!

River cruise was nice. Rest of tour was very boring. Took us to a shopping area for locals i.e. furniture, light fixtures, large household items.

The tour is mainly just transportation, which you can do yourself by taking public transit. The boat ride on the Tigre is pretty disappointing. The audio commentary in English is really bad, hard to really understand what is being said. I would not recommend this tour.

My wife and I had an extra day in BA before heading home, and decided to take the half-day tour on the Tigre Delta. Even though the reviews looked all positive, I was not setting high expectations. However I have to say, both my wife and I fully enjoyed this tour! The driving tour up to the Delta was fun and informative. The Delta cruise was amazing! To see how these people live out there on the Delta, the houses / villas, the abandoned ships rusting away, ... all of it, was worth a repeat. We highly recommend it.

The trip with the boat and the train was very amazing. The guide was ok. I would put a lunch in this package.

Enjoyed the half day Tigre tour, nice to get out of the city. Our tour guide was excellent. Not really sure why we had the first stop on the way, except to use as a rest stop. Seemed a little long for what there was to see. I would have preferred more time in the town of Tigre - of course, that is on the full day tour. I certainly recommend this tour as the price is more than reasonable and it was really interesting to see another side of life in Argentina.

Great trip. Very relaxing. Knowledgeable and personable guide - Eduardo was great. Made a total change from the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires. Next time I would probably go on a weekend or later in the week as this was a Monday and many of the shops were closed.
The mixture of boat, bus and train was great. -
Relaxing day trip from Buenos Aires to Tigre delta to see delta based communities and Tigre town centre.

This trip via Sturla was certainly worth the time and cost. Informative and relaxed. Not rushed and time for lunch and wine. The train ride gives you a different view of the local lifestyle.
