    We covered a lot of territory in one day and it was worth having a private tour for that reason especially as the weather was not great. But the guide would just drop us off at places and then say meet me back here when you are finished without giving us a time or any information. Nice to be flexible but I prefer to know the days itinerary in advance and have a schedule. He only told us where we were heading one at a time and only if I asked. We travelled throughout Europe for 7 weeks and did a lot of excursions always with a guide who gave us loads of background information and accompanied us most places. His English was okay but not fantastic.
