Hop aboard a comfortable coach in Amsterdam and head north through the picturesque Dutch countryside, where charming windmills dot the landscape. In the province of North Holland, your knowledgeable guide will point out the Enclosing Dike (Afsluitdijk), a 19-mile-long (32-km) dam constructed in 1932.
As you stop for photos of the massive dike, learn how its construction transformed the Zuiderzee from an inland sea to a lake known as IJsselmeer. Consider the craftsmanship that went into this feat of hydraulic engineering -- 330 feet (100 meters) wide and standing 23 feet (7 meters) above water level -- built to protect much of Holland's coastline from the open sea.
Continue to the scenic town of Medemblik for a visit to a working windmill. Situated on the IJsselmeer, this town is a popular destination for Olympic-class windsurfers. After a short guided walk through town, you’ll have time for lunch on your own.
Afterward, step aboard a classic steam train for a journey through the lovely countryside for just over an hour. Listen to the engine whistle on your way to the Zuiderzee town of Hoorn, where you’ll embark on another short walking tour with your guide.
See the highlights of this harbor town, founded in 716 and at one time a flourishing center of the spice trade. Discover medieval buildings, squares and statues, as well as other landmarks. Finally, explore the town during your free time before returning to Amsterdam by coach.行程概要出發地點

Very good tour guide (spoke 5 languages) and driver. Also a very nice tour bus. We had great explanations of all sites with short walking tours with commentary. Each stop gave us time to walk around and see the sites. We were very happy with the trip.
Only issue was finding the bus pick up site - not well explained on line and no 800 number to call. We stopped at the local information center in Amsterdam to find the site! -
Sounded interesting on paper but didn't live up to the expectation.

Good enough with plenty of information. However for 60 bux you could throw in a cup of tea/coffee/cold drink.

This was a superb tour! The enclosing dike and the history are awesome. Loved the little villages and towns, although would have liked a walking tour, as advertised. The STEAM TRAIN was great! Would recommend.

Very interesting tour - but not for children or teenagers, they found it boring.

Less interesting than the Amsterdam super saver...good if you have time enough but don't make it a priority

Bring a jacket!! The winds can be strong and cold. Otherwise this was a great day. The towns we visited were charming. Hoorn was especially interesting and you had time to wander around by yourself. Our guide was wonderful, friendly and enthusiastic which made for a great day. Even got to try on real working wooden shoes!

Firstly the good
It met every expectation.....we saw the Dutch countryside, the fantastic Dykes,walked around small old Dutch communities, had an old fashioned steam train trip. We enjoyed a beer at a small Dutch pub. ..... We got a feel for the way the Dutch live. Our coach driver was excellent and the tour leader knowledgable.
The whole day out was carried out at a pleasant easy pace.Now for the not so good.
The tour bus was not much better than a school bus back in Australia. Uncomfortable narrow seats and to close to the seat in front of us.
The tour was described as English speaking.....19 English speaking people aboard and one non English speaking Spannish person. The commentary by our tour leader was half English, half Spannish. It should have been all English with the Spannish lady being advised to take a different tour. There was no time for questions when we were travelling in the bus.
In all an excellent tour....one we would highly recommend. The downside we put up with.
