Re-awaken your senses at an unusual 3-course dinner in Amsterdam and discover what it is like to eat in complete darkness!
Unlike any ordinary restaurant, the experience plunges you into a world of sensitivity you may never have felt before, and takes you on a journey through taste, sound and touch. You will be seated in a pitch-black dining room and served by blind or visually impaired wait staff. They have been specially trained to serve meals in the dark, and will offer guidance and reassurance for sighted guests.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed in a lighted lounge area. Check your coat or bag in the cloakroom, as you won't need anything but your senses. Once you have ordered, you will be guided into the darkened dining room. Really cool experience! My boyfriend and I had a really good time with this. It takes a while to do so definitely plan ahead to do this early in the evening and have a good time with it. Food was really good but more fun to try to figure out what everything was than to enjoy the food itself. Spring for the cheese tasting and wine pairings with the food.

This was a totally amazing experience. We were greeted in the bar and got told to put our belongings in the lockers provided. We were then asked if there were any foods that we wouldn't eat, or allergies etc. Then it was fully explained that all the staff are visually impaired and that if we needed there attention to just call out. Obviously you do not know what you are eating, and t gives a fab dining experience. The waiting staff were helpful, extremely polite and very attentive. The meal eaten and plenty of laughs along the way. If I could rate it a 10 star, this experience would get it. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

Ok, this is my third time trying to do this. I keep getting logged out. Anyway, this was a strange experience. I had a little anxiety and some shock afterwards. We loved the food but didn't really care for the experience at all. You are asked about any dietary restrictions before hand and then you get what you get to eat. You have to try and figure it out. They tell you when you go pay exactly what you had, and that was even odd. Drinks are not included so, we spent an additional 10 euro for water only. Good luck in your visit

PLEASE DO THIS WITH YOUR GOOD FRIENDS/FAMILY!!!! This was an amazing experience. It is COMPLETELY dark in the room you eat in and it forces you to focus on your other senses. I highly recommend you keep an open mind and GO for it! You won't be disappointed! Very easy to get to by the metro.
