Meet your guide in central London and then hop aboard your luxury coach for your journey to Oxfordshire, roughly 1.5 hours away. Known for being a county of idyllic villages, Oxfordshire was chosen as a key filming location for many of the outdoor scenes in the hit Downton Abbey TV series.
Stop in Bampton, the parish that was set as Downton village, and admire its cute thatched-roof cottages, surrounded by the rolling Oxfordshire hills. Embodying a well-heeled Edwardian village, the place is awash with sites used as filming locations, and you’ll see the best ones on your walking tour. Pass Downton hospital of which Lord Grantham was a patron and then visit the village pub, from where Lady Sybil eloped with the charismatic family chauffeur.
Travel by coach to Kirkbymoorside to see a second Downton Abbey pub, and then stop for photos outside the local church that was visited by Matthew and Lady Crawley during the program’s second series. Continue to Downton Place, the 16th-century manor house that the Crawley family planned to live in should they have been forced to sell Downton Abbey. Enjoy a break for lunch (own expense), and then spend some time at leisure, strolling around the picture-perfect grounds.
Hop back on board your coach and travel to Dower House, home of the Dowager Countess, and sit down to enjoy afternoon tea (sandwiches, cakes and tea) in the Downton Room. Chat about the series with your guide and group, and then relax on your journey back to London. Your tour then finishes at the start point in the early evening.行程概要出發地點

First off, we really, really appreciated the fact that the tour guide, Steve, waited for us and about 4 others at the station since some lines on the Tube had been closed for the weekend, and we were wandering all over the Tube trying to get to Gloucester Road station.
The bus was not comfortable at all. We were packed like sardines into our seats and that wasn't helped by the fact that our seat mates were quite large. i literally had bruises the next day from being pushed against the arm rest.
My biggest complaint about this trip was that smoking was allowed during the tour. Every time we got off the bus and during the walks or discussions, the other passengers smoked continuously. I'm not talking about one or two people standing in the background, but at least half a dozen who were standing in the middle of the group. Since this was our first English tour, we thought that it was allowed. It wasn't until the end of the tour when I asked a fellow passenger about it, that I was told they'd never had tours with smoking being allowed.
Our tour driver was given incorrect directions from "the main office", and we drove around quite a bit while the correct locations were found. Granted the countryside was lovely, but I did tire of seeing the same intersections again and again especially since our seats were so uncomfortable.
The tour itself was fine, and the hostess at the Dower House was enjoyable. But because we got lost so many times, our time was limited at the sites.
I would not take this tour again nor would I recommend it to others. -
No lunch time allocated, 10hr day with 8hrs spent on the coach, afternoon tea is nothing but a cup of tea and one sweet. Bus driver, driving whilst talking on mobile. Complaint letter sent considering the price

Excellent day was had by all, would not have missed it for the world. Must do the Castle and the Egyptian artifacts down in the basement next tour. And the tour guide was second to none, she was excellent and all the very best to her and husband for the up coming birth of their first baby.
