The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university in Oxford, England. There is evidence of teaching as early as 1096,[2] making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's second-oldest university in continuous operation.[2][12] It grew rapidly from 1167 when Henry II banned English students from attending the University of Paris.[2] After disputes between students and Oxford townsfolk in 1209, some academics fled north-east to Cambridge where they established what became the University of Cambridge.[13] The two 'ancient universities' are frequently jointly called 'Oxbridge'. The history and influence of the University of Oxford has made it one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

David, the guide, and Joe the driver, were fabulous!! Trip was on time, efficient and professional. David was a humorous and interesting guide, keeping us alert and having fun!

The day tour far exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was extremely informative and ensured everyone got a lot out of the day. He went out of his way to give an in-depth commentary as well as relevant historical information.

Our trip was outstanding! We had Anthony Matthew's as our guide and his knowledge was incredible and entertaining. His since of humor made the trip special and he made it a point to get to know all 18 people on the tour. Warwick Castle and Oxford were beautiful! Stratford upon Avon and the Shakespeare sights were nice as well. You only drive through Cotswold and do not stop so it being part of the tour name is a little misleading but overall it was a great day trip out of London!

This was a nice distraction from London. Oxford was a fun small town to see - the guide walks you around for about a 1/2 hour and then you have about a 1/2 hour of freetime. Unfortunately you couldn't see the campus, not sure if it was because the school was closed due to holidays or what so that was disappointing as we wanted to see it for our daughter. A half hour really isn't enough time to shop either, needed at least another 1/2 hour to not feel rushed. Next was Stratford-upon-Avon - truthfully this was a town to skip or at least steal the 1/2 hour from for Oxford. The tour includes admission if you want to pay in advance (don't) for Shakespeare's house, not worth it, you spend about 5 minutes in here and then are done. Then you have way too much time to wander around (the shops are stores you can see anywhere, i.e. Zara). Warwick Castle was definitely the highlight and worth seeing if you love castles.

Nice trip. Lots to see. Need more time to enjoy, may be extend a trip for another hour. Warwick castle is nice and to explore would be better if there was a n extra hour. Oxford and the Shakespeare birth place were nice highlights. Our guide David was nice and so was the driver Vin

Very nice tour. Warwick castle is beautiful, the gardens really nice and be sure to watch the launch of the medieval sling, which is great. Stratford upon Avon is a small town with lots of William Shakespeare's lore. Visiting his house was interesting. Finally, Oxford is a very beautiful town, really worth it. All in all, this was a very good tour, and I definitely recommend it.

Katia was our tour guide and she was fabulous! She was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. We had a wonderful day filled with history, stories and anecdotes. We would highly recommend this tour!
