A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, the history of 'The Tower' has been intertwined with the history of England for almost a thousand years. Originally built by William The Conqueror in 1066, it has served a number of functions during its long history, including a prison, luxury palace for royalty and even a zoo. The priceless crown jewels are also held within the castle walls, along with the largest collection of medieval armour and weaponry in the country. Changing of the Guard
Elite soldiers from the military have been guarding English Kings and Queens since 1660. Known as the 'Household Division', these regiments are so devoted to their duty that they will famously not acknowledge, nor allow themselves to be distracted by the public. During the ceremony, immaculately turned out guards are accompanied by marching bands playing a rousing mix of military and contemporary music in a display of the sort of pomp and military ceremony that has made the British military famous around the world.

The tour was excellent. Our tour Guide Mr. Omar was charming, informative, witty, and he was definitely the difference as I've been to London 6 times previously. This was my wife's first time in London. Mr. Omar really helped me to show my wife the essential London Landmark, providing history while thoroughly entertaining us.

Our guide, Emily was absolutely FANTASTIC! She was very knowledgeable, kind and did an incredible job of answering everyones questions while keeping the tour on track. The coach was very comfortable and our driver, Mark was wonderful as well. 9 hours sounds like a long tour but it felt like it went by so fast. We learned so much about London with Emily and didn’t even feel the need for another city tour!

My wife and I booked this tour without being sure that we wanted to be tied to a tour group all day. This was our first trip to London. We had been told that the Changing of the Guard was overrated. We didn't know much about the Tower of London. But, we wanted to see St. Paul's Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. We loved the entire tour! Our guide, Trudy, was great! I doubt we could have seen all of this on our own. Going on Thanksgiving was a good idea because we could see Buckingham and the Changing of the Guard very easily with not much crowd. Also, there were not many people in line to see the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London either. One tip: if you have never been to London before and are not being picked up at your hotel for this tour, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to find the meeting point. It is not easy to find if you take the tube to the bus station. We almost missed it and another couple did miss it, but met up with our group later on our lunch break. Still highly recommend this tour if you want to do all of the touristy things in one day and request Trudy!

Our tour guide and driver made a great team. Traffic was tough trying to get around town, but our guide was very knowledgable about the history of the city and made every moment count. It rained on us during the early part of the tour but we got lucky during the Changing of the Guard, Troudi was very clever and had us stand in a prime spot where we even got a chance to see Prince Charles drive by! I highly recommend this tour

The tour is a good way to see London if you cant walk far but I felt our guide didnt know a lot about the history of London or perhaps didnt want to share. We spent more time getting on and off the bus than actually seeing sights. We were hoping to get a good location for the changing of the guards but this wasnt the case. We were at the gate they start but hundreds of others were there before us probably because it took 24 minutes to unload the bus and it was difficult to get a view. Not worth the cost plan it on your own taking the tube and walking. It will be more enjoyable and you will have more time to do what you enjoy. The boat ride is a must though!

We had the best experience on this tour! Omar and Derrick were great! Omar is so knowledgeable about the sites of London and had great insight about each site! Derrick was a pro at maneuvering that bus through the craziness of London! It was so nice to sit back and check out the sites in such a manner! We only had 1 day in London and felt that we got the most we could out of this tour. I enjoyed being left at the Tower of London to explore as long as we wanted. The river cruise was the icing on the cake at the end of the day. Drops you off right next to a tube station. I would highly recommend this tour!!
