You’ll get to try many famous British foods, all guaranteed to get your taste buds tingling. Firstly, your local London guide will take you to the exciting Borough Market to soak up the atmosphere, see the 100 different stalls and eat some English fudges/chocolate. This eating paradise was not even on the tourist foodie radar a few years ago.Still in the market, you will try award winning Lincolnshire sausages followed by the best and most fresh fish and chips in town (and you will get to see the difference between ‘chips’ and ‘French fries’).
Next will see local chocolate and cheese shops and try freshly baked homemade bread from the famous Bread Ahead Bakery.
Your tour will continue to a historic pub where you can try the best of British cheeses, served with grapes, fig cakes and chutneys
Washed down with real London Beers, Ales, or delicious ciders (or non-alcoholic options).
You’ll also see the world famous London Bridge and Tower Bridge along the River Thames and also the Battleship HMS Belfast.
Finally, the tour ends with classic desserts, such as cheese cakes, chocolate brownies or treacle sponge pudding all washed down with a pot of refreshing tea. Oh, and of course there’s the delicious secret dish too!
London Bridge has a flourishing market and food scene, mixed with real London life, historic culture and charming ambiance. The area is packed with exciting little back streets, pubs and market stalls, all adding to its appeal as a unique London food destination.
You can’t go to London Bridge without going to Borough Market and seeing the River Thames. Absolutely recommend this tour. Our group was just two couples, which was lovely. Our tour guide Ella was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and personable. She said we’d eat and drink a full days’s worth and we did. With everything we ate, we learned the history and origin of it all as well as how the market functioned 1000 yrs ago and today. The three hours flew by. Twice we had a little time to ourselves to wander, with Ella pointing out some of her favorite market stands. We are now spoiled by the fish and chips from Fish Kitchen, best I ever had. And two desserts...if you love to explore local food, this is the tour to take. Great customer service too.

Had such a great time on the food tour in London. The food was delicious! Ella was a great tour guide, it is always great to get good eats, paired with some history on the location and we have Ella to thank for that. Still dreaming of the fish and chips.

Enjoyed the tour and the food sampling. Our guide Mat was veryinformative, and helpful as we were late in arriving due to parking problems etc, he helped with info. for us to catch up.It was good to sample the various food and drink sold in thearea. A pleasant few hours.

Our tour guide Eddie was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and had a great sense of humor. We ate our way through the Borough market and local area, getting a great sampling of food and history.

This was a wonderful experience -- even on a rainy day in May 2018! We were introduced to Borough Market near London Bridge, Pickfords Wharf, the Mug House, and the surrounding South Bank area. It was a small group only 4 of us, so very personal attention from our guide not now recalling her name, but who was a delight, and we had plenty of opportunity to explore and taste on our own as well as a group. A great way to experience a part of London that we all know is there, but don't quite know how to access. If you wish to explore London not in a typical touristy way, book this foody, walking tour -- you'll feel like a local!

Food tours really get you to the heart of the city. WE concentrated in and around Borough Market. There were the actual growers of the food and the wholesalers. On the other side of this huge market were all those who prepared this very fresh food and served it to the customers. Our guide took us through the markets, we engaged with the purveyors and tasted good sized portions of 7 or 8 foods and beverages. All were excellent. The guide was very personable and familiar with the food servers and preparers. She knew the history of the area. Small group made it fun. Highly recommend his tour.

This was a great tour. My husband and I really enjoy the market and all the food. It was so helpful to have a tour guide to point out the best foods to try. From what I read on other reviews, our tour guide wasn't as informative about London history, but he still did a good job. I would definitely recommend this tour.
