Based on a short story that was itself based on a radio play, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap is a record-breaking murder mystery play that has been a fixture on London’s West End for over 60 years, making it the world’s longest running show.
Written by one of the greatest crime writers of all time, the theater show tells the story of a young couple who have set up a hotel in a converted manor house. Following a paralyzing blizzard, the couple and their guests are snowed in, but, when a detective arrives on skis to inform the group that he believes a murderer is on the way, things soon heat up.
After making your own way to the theater, settle into your plush seat and soak up the buzz as your fellow theatergoers take their seats. When the curtain rises, be transfixed as the fast-paced plot unfolds before you and gasp aloud when all is revealed during the play’s twist ending — one of the best kept secrets in theater history.
You have the choice of two seating options for the performance inside St Martin’s Theatre. Standard priced seats offer a good view of the stage and are usually located in the rear stalls (stage level) or dress (upper) circle. Alternatively, opt for top priced seating to enjoy a full view of the stage and close-up views of the stars on stage. It was great to see such a classic play on the West End. It was very easy to exchange the voucher for a ticket. I had a terrific seat, but the theatre was nowhere near full, so I was able to move forward and have a bit more space around me, as the seats were tight. The area around the theatre Charing Cross Road seemed a little seedy to me and I walked up Shaftsbury Ave where there were more people to catch the bus to my hotel.

Really good. A bit of a job to find the theater but all smooth once we did. The show was terrific. I really can't say any more....the cast swear the audience to secrecy after the show......

The Mousetrap was so much fun. We so enjoyed this Agatha Christie play. It was very convenient and easy to take our electronic copy to the box office and receive our tickets. Highly recommend seeing the Mousetrap!

A lot of fun and great to be part of the history of this play. Good atmosphere at the theatre and well acted by the cast. A nice way to spend an evening !

We had to go back and forth by email with the actual theater company in London but ended up with great seats and no hassle when we got there.
