Home to British royalty as well as some of the world’s best-known historical monuments, attractions and landmarks, London is a city with sightseeing opportunities aplenty. Hop aboard an open-top Big Bus to soak up the sights of the beloved English capital and discover its delights at your own pace. Four routes are included with your ticket: Best of Central London (Red Route), which lasts for a full 2.5 hours and includes both a live English-speaking guide and recorded audio commentary in 12 different languages; the Best of the West - Museums & Royalty (Blue Route), covering the West of London stopping at Harrods, the South Kensington Museums and Kensington Palace with audio commentary; the Magical Merlink (Orange Route), providing a direct connection between Madame Tussauds and London's Southbank attractions including the London Eye; the North to Central Link (Green Route), which includes stops at Covent Garden and the British Museum.
For those who want to take it easy, stay on board for the full loops listening to entertaining commentary as you go. If you want to explore the city on foot, hop on and off wherever, and whenever, you like. Big Bus offers a range of activities to do in between daily rides, including a daily walking tour and a 30-minute River Thames sightseeing cruise. With your Classic (1 day), Premium (2 day), or Deluxe (3 day) pass, the sights to see are endless. Travel to Trafalgar Square to stand in awe of Nelson’s Column, or stretch your legs on a stroll through beautiful Hyde Park. With your camera in hand, hop off your bus near Buckingham Palace to capture sights of the Queen’s London home, and look out for must-see landmarks such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and more.

London walking tour (1.5 2 hours)
Gain insight into London’s history on a leisurely walking tour with an expert guide. Get a taste of the majesty and history of London with an introduction to royalty and politics. The tour meets every morning at 1:30am from Trafalgar Square (bus stop 9) and finishes at Horse Guards.
On days when there is a Changing of the Guard, your guide will walk you directly to Buckingham Palace to see this traditional ceremony for yourself before completing a short tour back to Trafalgar Square.
River Thames cruise (30 minutes)
Want to see London’s delights from the water? Hop aboard a sightseeing boat and cruise from Westminster Pier to Tower Pier or vice versa. Audio commentary is provided on board. Depart from Westminster Pier (Stop 18), London Eye Pier (Stop 12), Tower Pier (Stop 16) or Greenwich Pier.
Classic ticket: Single river cruise (between Westminster and Tower of London, either direction)

Then we went back to spend time at various stops. The audio guide is helpful as well as the actual tour guide comments. Worth the money.

The hop-on hop-off bus experience was a pretty good experience. It was great that they provided headphones and maps for you when you boarded the bus. It would have been nicer if the tour guide explained things a little bit more though. We had several tour guides during our trip and they all seemed to be the same.

Brilliant service right from start to finish.The drivers are very helpful and understanding,the live guides were full of humour.I can do it all over again !!!keep up the good service

It was good, but it seemed like some of the other bus tours had buses running more frequently at stops. If I were to do it again I’d pick the Original bus or Golden tours. If you are going in winter bus tours are not heated and it can be quite cold so layer up.

We only had one day to visit London. The tour is a great way to get a fell of the city and to see areas that you might not usually get to. The stops are usually with the bus stops; you have to locate them on the poles--Stop locator says "Big Bus". We rode the red line and had a great commentator. The Big Bus goes along the side of Buckingham Palace, so if you want to see the entrance- you have to get off to get that picture. The additional river tour was a nice treat. It was a drizzly day in January we took this tour.

We set aside one day to do the tour, and rode both the Blue and Red Line routes. Despite my offer of my phone (and backup printed vouchers), at no time did a driver or any other personnel scan our tickets. Just an observation that may be helpful to avoid problems in the future. Blue line bus got stuck in traffic, so we lost some time using that route to access the Red line. Once we were seated in the very front of the upper deck, all was well from there! Very knowledgeable guide Ricky was right next to us so the headphones were not even needed. Good, humorous commentary the whole way. One suggestion: route only goes by the side of Buckingham Palace, not in front. That's ok if you're hopping off the bus, but it was a bit rainy and windy and most people were staying on the bus. No opportunity for a good photo.Overall, good way to see the city and to get around if not using the tube.

This is a great way to see London. We really enjoyed getting off and on as we please and seeing the major sites in London this way. We do this in most cities, but it is exceptional in London. Loved it.

Hop on hop off in London was a disaster! Audio didn't work, overhead speaker didn't work, operator didn't call out the stops so we even knew where we were! Appeared as if the 2nd floor operator was charging more to go to the 2nd floor! Decided to go on the1/2 hour river cruise on the Thames which was included and had to wait in line for 2 hours! Wasted 1 of my only 2 days in London! We were not happy at all and it was a sad introduction to a city I've wanted to go to all my life!

We were disappointed as this was just bus service and not a tour. We were traveling at such a high speed that you couldn’t take a picture if you wanted to.
