Valencia is a stunning modern city with a rich Roman and Gothic history. While you’re in port in Valencia, explore the city at your own pace on a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus tour! Travel between the two routes on an open-top, double-decker bus, hopping on and off wherever you want. This sightseeing shore excursion provides you with 17 convenient stops around town so you can see attractions like the Cathedral of Valencia or San Pio V Palace.
See the Silk Exchange, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Quart Towers and the Serrano Towers, Valencia’s old city gates. See the futuristic-style football stadium Nou Mestalla, or visit Valencia’s zoo, Bioparc.
Both routes each take approximately 1.5 hours. The buses depart every 20 to 30 minutes from each stop the closest stop to the cruise port is Stop 7, El Puerto. Tickets are valid for 24 hours from first use.
Albufera Natural Park:
To begin your included tour of Albufera Natural Park, get off at Stop 5 (Centro Comercial Aqua) of the Maritime Route (Blue Line) and jump on the Albufera Sightseeing Tour to discover the beauty of this natural reserve. Located 9.3 miles (15 km) south of Valencia’s city center, the park is an important stopover point for migratory birds and one of the most important natural reserves in Spain. See rice fields, sand dunes and a long, deserted stretch of sand and pine trees along the Mediterranean coast. Enjoy a 30-minute boat ride on the lake.
The Albufera sightseeing tour takes approximately two hours. After your tour, you can re-join the hop-on hop-off bus for the rest of your tour.

We had trouble finding the bus stop and after 3 calls to the tour operator, finally got told that the first bus wouldn't be there until 1:00pm. It finally arrived at 2:00, but due to all the delays, we were afraid if we got on, we would miss our departure.

The Albufera park was just a slow boat ride in a lake, to see nature. Nothing more than that, we saw a couple of egrets and birds. Boat driver spoke only Spanish. If you have ever seen the Everglades in Florida it looks just like that. Trip was not worth the time, it is better to use your time in the city sights, if you are staying a short time.

Valencia hop-on hop-off line is very long. Make sure what you want to see before you go. I suggest Viator providing hop-on hop-off maps BEFORE each excursion so we know what to expect. Also Hop-on hop-off should set up a desk right at the ship exit to answer the questions and give directions. The morning driver was really nice and helpful while the afternoon driver is rude and arrogant. He could understand English pretty well but refused to answer question if we couldn't speak Spanish or Italian to him. He put his one foot up next to the ticket box and checked his smart phone whenever he stopped while everyone on the bus had to wait. Albufera Natural Park Tour took a big chunk of the day and all we really saw was the rice field and sit on a 1/2 boat trip. Driver didn't speak any English so it's very difficult to communicate. We could have used that time to see more of Valencia.
