When you book, choose your desired helicopter flight itinerary from the two available. Then, start your experience with a pickup from your hotel in the Cristianos to Callao Salvaje area or Los Gigantes. If you’re staying outside these areas, make your own way to the heliport near Costa Adeje in time for your flight departure.Check in at the heliport, meet your pilot, and receive a safety briefing on the round-trip flight ahead. Then, board your shared 4-passenger Bell 206 helicopter, fasten your seat belt, and put on your 2-way radio headset so you can hear your pilot’s informative commentary. As you fly, your pilot will point out the main sights and share fascinating facts about Tenerife’s natural history, towns and volcanic landscapes.When you land after your flight, relax with a complimentary drink. Your helicopter experience will then end with a drop-off at your hotel in the Cristianos-Callao Salvaje area or Los Gigantes. If you’re staying elsewhere, your experience will conclude at the heliport.South Coast (10 minutes): (Feel the excitement as your helicopter heads out over the glittering Atlantic Ocean. Absorb the views of Tenerife’s rugged coast as you whirr above the beaches, hills and coves that dot the shores. Hover over the El Puertito area, famous for its sightings of sea turtles, and gaze at the pretty, mountain-backed fishing village of La Caleta as you swing inland to see one of Tenerife’s most famous golf courses, the jewel-green Golf Costa Adeje.Next, float over the gleaming seaside resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos for stunning views of their sparkling whitewashed hotels, shopping malls and sandy beaches. Take photos and enjoy the vistas of Tenerife’s dusky distant mountains and forests, all hemmed by the deep blue Atlantic. After about 10 minutes in the air, land back at the heliport.Beaches and Ravines (15 minutes): (Whirr into the sky and enjoy breathtaking views over Tenerife’s craggy coastlines, peppered with whitewashed villages, sandy beaches and resorts. Gaze down at the lovely village of La Caleta and manicured greens of Golf Costa Adeje course, and drift over the hotels and beaches of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos.After flying over Guaza Mountain and the table-flat summit of Roque del Conde Mountain, marvel at some of Tenerife’s most spectacular landscapes spread below. Drink in the pine forests, ravines and peaks around Ifonche and soak up thrilling views of Mt Teide, Spain’s highest volcanic mountain, rising from UNESCO-listed Teide National Park. Catch sight of the Corona Forestal National Park and then hover over the stunning Barranco del Infierno (Hell’s Canyon) a lush gorge famous for its caves and waterfall.
