Once you meet your guide at a meeting point, you can start discovering the interior of The Tarragona Cathedral, The Cloister,The Diocesan Museum, The Bell Tower and the Roman T□menos archaeological site, accompanied by a local guide.The cathedral was originally overlooking an ancient Roman city (Tarraco), built on the remains of a temple of Augustus. Its floor plan is in the form of a Latin cross, the head is of Romanesque tradition with half-point arches following the Gothic style. The chapels show art’s evolution, with examples of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassicism. The main nave boasts a great organ, counting 2700 tubes, a splendid rose window at middle of the nave and many other beautiful artefacts, dedicated to St Thecla.The Cloister has a stunning interior garden. The Museum was founded in 1914 and has approximately 6,000 pieces, 350 of which are on display for visitors.行程概要出發地點
