Your guide will meet you at your hotel so you can get ready for a 4-hour private walking tour, which you can customize according to your own preferences - be it architecture, history, fashion or a bit of everything. If you wish to visit a museum, please ask for a special arrangement. This is mainly a walking tour, however you may take the metro or bus (included) if necessary, but there is no private transport provided on this tour.
Your guide will walk with you to the famous sites and will take you down the lesser known parts of the very center of the city. There are always plenty of secrets to share and things to learn. Be assured that you will have a very personalized and professional experience, you will see different faces of the capital and will learn about historical facts, cultural background, current developments and social life of Madrile os from locals, as your guide was either born or raised in the city, and knows it well.

We were looking for a convenient way to get to know Madrid and to understand it's history and local life at the start of our 5 day visit. Enrique met us at our hotel and the tour and education he provided us far exceeded our expectations. He is a passionate historian and Spaniard! We especially liked being shown the differences between the tourist Madrid and the real Madrid. We stopped for a drink and Tapas at the Mercado de la Cebada, a local market. This was one of the best walking tours we have ever been on, and we would highly recommend it to all.

This was a helpful orientation to Madrid and we now know roughly where things are and have a better sense of how to plan our time. Our guide was just mediocre.

Our guide Enrique was both passionate and knowledgeable about Spanish history, literature, architecture and art. Our tour was customised to our requirements and developed around the themes of history and architecture, and exceeded our hopes and expectations. We felt that we had been exposed to Madrid in a way we could not possibly have achieved on our own. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Marta did a fantastic job moving at our pace and ducking into a great bar/restaurant for tapas when a storm shower made it too wet outside. Marta accommodated our request for hot chocolate and churros while taking us to all the highlights of Madrid. She was very accommodating while making sure we saw as much as possible. Very easy to understand her English, we highly recommend her as a guide.

We thoroughly enjoyed our history and legends walking tour. Our guide, Enrique was knowledgeable and friendly. He tailored our tour so that we didn't duplicate items on a second tour we are taking with a group we will be traveling with. He gave us clear instructions for the Metro and he left us with directions to get back on our own to our hotel. It forced us to get to know the area better. We used that info to do more exploring on our own the next two days. He also recommended sights for us to see based on our interests.

Tour was with Yolanda who was brilliant. She is an Art Historian and had a fantastic depth of knowledge and enthusiasm. The customised tour was everything we wanted and more. Brilliant job!

One of the best tours I have done in all my travels. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of Spanish history, the city of Madrid and Spanish food and wine. He actually extended the tour for more then a half hour as there's so much to see and we were grateful that he did. The guide took us to places that regular tourist would never see even though they were near the main sights. It was a wonderful day and I was able to take many great photos along the way. This tour should not be missed if you're planning on a trip to Madrid.
