Choose from a morning or afternoon cruise, and travel by air-conditioned coach from your Corralejo or Caleta de Fuste meeting point to Puerto Calero, Lanzarote’s marina. Meet your friendly crew, and then board the luxurious Catlanza catamaran, an open-top, 75-foot (23-meter) boat.
As you leave the jagged shoreline around the marina behind, laze on deck and bask in the Canarian sunshine. Lanzarote’s southern coastline is idyllic, and your route to the island’s southwestern tip takes in undulating stretches of blonde sand, lapped by the cobalt waters of the Atlantic. Sip on a drink from the well-stocked open bar and soak up the sights and scenery.
After 1.5 hours on the water, dock in the waters around Papagayo, a beach tucked away on the cliff-fringed shores of Los Ajaches Nature Reserve. Then, how you spend your time while the boat is docked is up to you! Use snorkel equipment from the boat to swim around the coves and see shoals of colorful fish, or simply curl up on deck with a book. Feeling adventurous? Speak to your crew and head out on a thrilling jet-ski ride to make white-water patterns out in the sea.
Dry off in the sun while eating a light lunch on board. Dishes are subject to change but pasta with either fresh tuna or a rich tomato sauce is often served alongside bread, salad and fresh fruit. Wine, sangria and soda are available to accompany your meal.
Enjoy a last dip in the sea before cruising east back to Puerto Calero. Dolphins and pilot whales are commonly spotted on the way back, so look out for signs of Lanzarote’s marine life while enjoying more drinks from the bar.
