Join up with your guide at the prearranged meeting point in central Granada, then set off by hop-on hop-off tourist train to the UNESCO-listed neighborhood of Albaicin. Your tour includes a full day ticket for the sightseeing train, allowing you to travel quickly and easily throughout the city before, during and after your tour.
Delve into the city’s Moorish roots as you follow your guide through the labyrinthine streets of Granada’s old Muslim quarter. Admire the picturesque whitewashed buildings that blanket the hillside, and pass by the ruins of Islamic bathhouses, mansions and fountains.
See top Albaicin sights including Mirador San Nicol□s, a lookout point that affords unbeatable views of the Alhambra palace complex and Sierra Nevada. You’ll also see Plaza Larga, a bustling square filled with restaurants and cafes, and the Arco de las Pesas, an impressive gateway in the 11th-century wall.
Continue on foot to Sacromonte, an ancient quarter where much of Granada’s gypsy population live. Listen to your guide share interesting details about the neighborhood’s history as you traverse the charming streets, stopping every now and then to take photos of the Alhambra in the distance. Discover how Sacromonte is the center of the city’s fiery flamenco scene, and see the caves where local zambra (gypsy flamenco) is performed nightly.

Well, I was pleasantly surprised. We turned up and we were, luckily, the only couple. The Guide Irena was very, very nice and fun to walk around with. It was a most enjoyable evening tour. The only drawback for me was I was worn out by the time we were finished. I guess that what is like when you reach 74yrs. I sure needed my glass of beer after that. Thanks Irena.

This was a very interesting tour and the tour guide was very good, however you need to be in reasonable physical condition to do it -- lots of walking uphill but very much worth it!
