This guided day tour (up to 7 passengers) around the Alt Empord□ (Girona) will take you from place to place in a full equipped modern van (aircon, cold water) and provides the perfect opportunity to explore the scenic and picturesque Costa Brava North where Dal□ lived and painted, his Theatre-Museum in Figueres and The Natural Park of Creus Cape.
The tour departs at 8.30am from your Hotel or apartment in Girona and starts the journey going to Dal□’s Theatre-Museum in Figueres, “the world's largest surrealist object”. Built in 1974, the Dal□ Theatre-Museum is considered to be the last great work of Salvador Dal□. Everything in the museum was designed by the artist to give visitors a real experience of his life. This visit lasts approximately 2 hours and the includes a tour of Dal□ Jewels Collection; precious stones and 39 gold jewels of the Owen Cheatham collection. There are also drawings and paintings on paper that Salvador Dal□ made for the jewels designs. Dal□’s Jewels are also on show, which represent an extensive collection made by the artist between 1941 and 1970.
The tour leaves Figueres at 11.00 am and stops in the Natural Park of Creus Cape, a peninsula located at the far northeast of Catalonia, just 16 miles south of the French border. The cape lies in the municipal area of Cadaqu□s. The peninsula has an extraordinary landscape that is a very rocky dry region, with almost no trees, in contrast with a seaside full of minuscule creeks. The mountains are the eastern foothills of the Pyrenees, the natural border between France and Spain.

This is one of the best tours I have participated in. Marc was our guide with Carmen as a very capable driver. There were no other travelers that signed up for the tour on this day so my husband and I essentially received a private tour. We were picked up on time from our hotel. Marc is warm, personable and extremely knowledgeable about the area and Dali. The Dali museum is excellent but it doesn't provide a lot of information on the pieces so it is almost necessary to have a guide to explain the background and the artwork so that you get the complete vision of Dali and don't miss out on the quirks of this place. We visited the seaside town of Dali's home and also lunched there at an excellent restaurant recommended by the guide. We ended the tour with a wine tasting which was a perfect cap to the day. My husband had purchased a bottle from the winery but on the way back to the hotel, he dropped it and the bottle was smashed. Amazingly, when we woke up the next morning, Marc had brought a replacement bottle of wine for us at the hotel. This is beyond thoughtful and kind. I highly recommend this tour and especially this guide if you can get him when signing up for this tour.

We really enjoyed this tour. They helped us with the train information to get to Girona I missed that in the listing, very easy. They met us promptly at the station and took us to the Dali museum. Our guide went through the museum with us to help with our understanding and appreciation. She wasn't overbearing, was very helpful and enjoyable. We went to Dali's hometown and walked around, very picturesque. Day ended at a wine tasting, paired with local items, great.
We only had a day to visit the area, so this was great. No problems with driving or language, able to just enjoy it. -
Girona Experience was the best tour company during our 10 day stay in Spain. Carme really goes out of her way to accommodate and make you feel comfortable. Also, she's an AMAZING driver and her van is so clean and smells so good. We booked the Dali/Cadaques tour and we had a private guide named Guisspe. He is a historian who is extremely knowledgeable and it was certainly a treat to have him show us around. The sights were absolutely gorgeous. Loved the wine cata at the end with time for shopping. Thank you both for your professionalism and care. We will definitely be repeat customers and refer to our friends and family. Best wishes always!!! The Penas

I signed up for the Dali and Costa Brava tour with Gerona Experience. It was a wonderful day and Ramon and Carme, the owners of the tour company, run very small and personal tours. The visit to the Dali Museum was the highlight of my time in Catalunya and Ramon's special knowledge of the artist was a wonderful addition to the visit. He also knows a lot about American baseball! Carme is an excellent and very safe driver, which was important when we made our way across a winding mountain road. I also loved the wine tasting at the end of the tour, which was at a small coop rather than the big commercial operations that most tours bring you to. I only regret not having more time in the region so that I could have signed up for additional tours with this very special company. I can not recommend them highly enough.
