Join a fun and efficient way to discover the eldest city in Europe on this bike tour sightseeing the Old quarter and the Historical centre of Cadiz. Meet your guide for a 4 hours thrilling journey inside the 3000 years old city. You will start your guided tour by taking a ride to Puerta de Tierra where you will admire the majestic city gates that separate the old and new town before taking a ride along the beautiful Playa de las Mujeres, one of the most beautiful beach in town. Head toward Campo Sur, also called "little Havana" where colourful houses create a rather surprising scenary. On the way, visit the Royal Prison as well as the 2000 years old Roman Theatre.
As you reach the Cathedral, you will admire the surprising mix of architectures styles that characterizes the 13th century building and its wonderful lightful square. Navigating through the narrow streets, you will pass by the Flower sellers market and stop at the Market of Cadiz where you will learn about the seafood based local gastromy. That will be your opportunity to taste some of the local delicatessen!
La Vi a district awaits you and you will hear about the carnival and its legends and a mysterious church.
Back on the seafront, you will stop by the charming Caleta Bay, a former Phoenician port located between Santa Catalina and San Sebastian Castles before cycling in Genoves Park and admire over 300 different type of trees from all round the world. The tour will go along the Romantic promenade of Alameda Apodaca, widely known as one of the most beautiful in Spain. Your friendly guide will take you to the Falla Theatre, a New Moorish edifice home of the carnival contest of Cadiz.
After a refreshment break, admire the gorgeous Plaza Espa a and Las Cortes monument, symbol of the Spanish constitution before reaching the shaded square of Plaza Mina where memories of the 16th century bourgeoisie can still be seen throughout its Neo-classical mansions before discovering Plaza San Antonio and Calle Ancha, the buzzing palaces filled street.
You will see the Tavira Tower, the tallest watching tower, before we head towards Plaza San Juan de Dios and the medieval Populo quarter where you will see the Admiral s House. You will end this amazing shore excursion with a refreshment in one of Cadiz beautiful squares.行程概要出發地點

We totally loved touring the city by bike. Even though it was a very hot day, the guide did a great job of looking for shade during stops.
Only two very small suggestions
1 Give more warning before stopping on the tour.
2 The bikes need more baskets or water bottle holders.Even with these two small suggestions we would do this tour again without thinking twice.

C□diz is a beautiful city and we saw a good deal of it on this tour. Unfortunately, our guide had only lived there for about a month. Fleur was a lovely Dutch girl. Very friendly but not very knowledgeable. She pointed out the major sites but couldn't answer anything beyond basic questions.

This is not a good town to bike. Streets are extremely narrow and no way to see around corners. There was a bike path in one area by the coastline; otherwise had to maneuver around pedestrians, cars, and bikes. Crossing busy intersections was difficult and occasionally the group got separated.

Fun but didn't like riding on a very windy day as it made it harder to ride especially by coast. Also difficult dodging cars and people on narrow streets.

Pablo Romero is a great guide and a proud citizen of Cadiz. He took the two of us around and showed us most interesting monuments, musea, squares of interest and places to eat and to drink. The bicycle is a superb vehicle to discover the town, and it is safe to bike. Pablo knows not only many stories about Cadiz, but as historian he knows Andalusia and other historic places in Europe. Not one cultural questions remain unanswered! My wife and I highly recommend this tour.
