Begin your tour in Pla a Catalunya, where you will hop aboard an air-conditioned bus to the Natural Park of the Mountain of Montserrat, just an hour away from Barcelona. A unique massif famous for its gothic shapes, beautiful views and trails - Montserrat is said to be the most important mountain in Catalonia.
Upon arrival, your guided tour consists of an extended visit throughout the Basilica and Monastery, with free time to explore the site on your own afterwards. There are many activities to choose from you may want to see the Black Madonna, visit the Museum, make your way to the Holy Cave, ride a funicular to the top of the mountain, or shop at the farmer’s market. At the end of the visit you'll have the chance to attend a performance by l’Escolania de Montserrat, the oldest Boys’ Choir in Europe.
After Montserrat, head to the estate winery of Oller del Mas. Located in a castle dating back to the 10th century, the winery is home to 1,500 acres of land and a public golf course. Make your way into the restaurant, where you will be served a multi-course meal with wine.
Following your meal, take a stroll through the vineyards and visit the cellar for a guided tour of the estate's wines. Learn about the production process and other winemaking secrets.
Before heading back to Barcelona, enjoy a wine tasting session with three ecological wines. You will be returned at the end of the day to your original departure point.

Confirmation will be received at time of booking The tour leaves from Plaza Catalunya, 21 (by the Hard Rock Caf□) look for the pink umbrella. The tour departs at 8:45 am (meet strictly at 8:30 am). There is a limit of 16 people per group, although transportation will be shared with other groups. Please note that we reserve the right to modify the order of the sites visited if considered necessary. Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there is some walking involved. Temperatures in Montserrat and the winery tend to be more extreme than in Barcelona. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress accordingly. Infants aged 3 or less may join the tour free of charge, but note that no car seat or meals are provided. If you have reduced mobility, please contact us before booking. We booked this tour because I thought it would be nice to get out of the city for a day. It turned out to be an amazing experience at the monastery and the wine tasting was fantastic. Our guide Marta was delightful and would highly recommend this tour.

Montserrat was stunning. We were fortunate to experience it on a cloudless, sunny day. The commentary by the guides during the scenic journey helped to set the context for our visit. The cathedral is beautiful and the sound of the church's boys' choir accompanied by the organ was ethereal. Don't miss the art museum if you are an art lover - an exceptional collection from early Greek and Roman right through modern (including Dali and a few other surprises). Lunch, tour, and wine tasting at Oller del Mas was superb. Our guide, Jordi, a native of the area, is a wealth of knowledge about history, culture, art and wine. We experienced an exceptionally rich and memorable day.

we took a tour of the Montsarrat Monastery with Viator on Dec. 11/2018 . Very good tour of this beautiful place perched on the flanks of the mountain. Our guide, Aurelia , was knowledgeable, interesting and friendly. This 1000 year old Monastery is located one hour's drive from Barcelona. After our visit to the monastery we had a very good included lunch with plenty of wine, at Oller del Mas winery , which we visited afterwards for a wine tasting . All in all, a good day of touring ( full day )

This was a fantastic tour, so glad we did this while in Barcelona. Our tour guide, Jiordi was great, very knowledgeable and so nice! Would do this tour again!

Monserrat was fabulous. Lunch was disappointing. Awful in fact. As was the wine tour. Waste of time. Guide spoke so fast couldn’t understand her.

Montserrat was absolutely stunning! The mountains, the church, the choir, the art museum - all of them surpassed my expectations. Even with all the tourists, the spaces felt serene and blessed. The wine tasting portion of the tour was enjoyable and relaxing.Y

Our tour guide, Anna helped make this a perfect day. We were given several options to fill our time while at Montserrat. We got to hear the Boys Choir, shop at the market, and visit the museum. We took the train back down and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. We had such a delicious and delightful lunch at a 10th century winery and toured the winery. Such rich history and delicious wines. It was a perfect day! Anna was very helpful, funny, and made the day so much fun!

I feel you get a lot for your money. The meal alone could have easily been $40 back in the states. This included gazpacho, salad with cooked tuna, traditional potatoes (can’t remember name), wine, bread, pasta dish (pork/chicken cannelloni type) and fruit. Also a shot of local digestif (really good,very light anise flavor but so much better-don’t be afraid to try it!).Then addon the wine tasing (sampled 3). Great deal. I learned a lot during the vineyard tour. Simon, the guide was super knowledgeable. I was glad we got him, as he seems very tenured and seasoned as a guide. He always had the right tone and attitude which is hard when dealing people day in and out. All the guides on our bus had a wonderful sense of humor. I only wished we had more free time on the mountain. We went during peak times and wait times were long.The guide was great about informing us of this. He had times for each option you could choose once on your own. You then had to decide what was priority during that time. Hard decision- it’s all so amazing there. The pilgrimage to the black Madonna is amazing to witness. I highly recommend looking into her story!
