Meet the professional local guide in the city center of Verona (meeting point) and start this amazing urban exploration.
From here you will start exploring the old town, with a stop at Castelvecchio, a medieval castle. From there, you will discover Pizza Bra and admire the First century B.C Roman ‘amphitheatre’ from the outside and learn of the games of the gladiators as well as facts, myths and legends of the Arena.
Enjoy a pleasant walk on cobblestone streets as you relive the past and view the old town walls and other monuments from Roman times and the Middle Ages. After taking some memorable photos of ancient roman ruins or the beautiful city squares, you will reach the House and Balcony of Juliet. Here you will remember the famous love stories of William Shakespear’s Romeo & Juliet.

Irena was our tour guide and she was charming, a local and loved Verona, herself, and it showed. This is a wonderful tour to get an overview of Verona so you can see where you want to explore on your own. Irena was informative and I learned a lot, especially about the Juliette Balcony! I highly recommend this tour. There is a lot more to Verona than I realized and you get that on this tour. It was nicely paced.

This tour was amazing!

This tour covers a significant portion of the city, but one primarily sees sites from the outside. For example, the tour does not include entrance to the Verona Arena, only a brief commentary from outside. However, the guide did provide serviceable, if not scholarly, commentary on the sites. The walk is lengthy but it includes a number of pauses so it is not too taxing .

This tour was a lot of money and our tour guide lacked flare which made it difficult to concentrate.
It was also expensive, there were no visits included in the price, we stood outside places.
It would have been also nice if our guide gave us a toilet stop or drink stop too.
Verona is beautiful. -
Wolfe was a gracious and charming guide with lots of local knowledge. Enjoyed the tour, but there was a lot of walking through some dense crowds. Not a relaxing tour. But worth the time.
