產品介紹
After two nights in Venice, spend four nights in Umbria the landlocked region that stretches down the center of the country. Often called the ‘green heart of Italy,’ the area is every bit as pretty as its Tuscan neighbor, yet it's a lesser-known destination, making it a more tranquil getaway. Spend two nights in Gubbio and Assisi, and then finish your tour with a night in Rome.
Your comfortable 2- or 3-star hotel accommodation is located centrally in each town, meaning you’re well placed to explore independently between activities and excursions.行程概要出發地點

Day 1: Venice
Check in to your Venice hotel in the afternoon, and then enjoy some free time to get acquainted with Italy’s city-on-the-water. Day 2: Venice
How you decide to spend your day after breakfast (own expense) is up to you! Explore by foot or perhaps by boat the ubiquitous black gondolas that glide along the city canals provide a quintessential Venetian sightseeing experience!
Look out for Venice’s must-see sights like Doge's Palace, from where the powerful yet treacherous doges of Venice once ruled, as well as attractions like St Mark’s Basilica and Rialto Bridge. If culture is your thing, pay homage to contemporary artwork with a visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, or visit Ca' Rezzonico Museum of Eighteenth Century Art. All activities and entrance fees are at your own expense.
Overnight: Hotel Villa Rosa or similar in Venice
Day 3: Venice Gubbio
Enjoy a hearty breakfast (own expense) to set you up for your full day of traveling, and then leave Venice by train with your guide. Travel on a series of trains to Umbria, the sleepy Tuscan-like region that stretches through inland Italy. Your destination is the medieval hilltown of Gubbio, perched on the slopes of Monte Ingino; after arriving, check in to your hotel and then head out to explore with your guide.
Stroll through town, admiring Gubbio’s picturesque stone houses and terracotta-tiled roofs, and then take a ride in the Funivia, the town’s open-air cable car. Travel to a height of 3,281 feet (1,000 meters) to visit the Basilica di Sant’Ubaldo, a place of worship that’s home to the mummified body of St Ubaldo Gubbio’s patron saint. Views from the church are outstanding, so be sure to bring your camera!
Continue your tour with a short hike along the top of Monte Ingino and then back down into Gubbio. The afternoon and evening are then yours to spend at leisure; perhaps enjoy dinner in your hotel or visit a local restaurant recommended by your guide (own expense).
Overnight: Hotel Grotta dell’Angelo or similar in Gubbio
Day 4: Gubbio
After breakfast (own expense), enjoy a full day of free time to get to know the charming town at your own pace. Besides Gubbio’s fascinating selection of medieval, Gothic and Renaissance architecture, the town has some interesting attractions, too. Perhaps head to Museo Civico in Piazza Grande to see bronze tablets dating back to 100 BC, or visit the town’s 15th-century centerpiece: Palazzo Ducale. All entrance fees and activities are at your own expense.
Overnight: Hotel Grotta dell’Angelo or similar in Gubbio
Day 5: Gubbio Assisi
Check out of your hotel after breakfast (own expense), and travel south by public bus with your guide. Disembark at the hilltown of Assisi, drop your luggage at your hotel, and then head out to explore Umbria’s so-called spiritual capital.
Famous as the birthplace of St Francis of Assisi, the pretty town is home to an array of sacred sights that inspire reverence no matter what your feelings on religion are. On a walking tour, see the town’s highlights like the Romanesque Basilica di Santa Chiara, Piazza Matteotti and Assisi Roman Forum home to a cluster of excavated Roman ruins.
Head inside Basilica di San Francesco for a tour with a Franciscan monk, and admire both the upper and lower basilicas one lavishly ornate; the other minimalistic and sober, in line with St Francis’ teachings. After learning about St Francis’ life in the town, leave the church and finish your tour. The rest of your day is spent at leisure.
Overnight: Hotel Trattoria de Elide or similar in Assisi
Day 6: Assisi Spello Assisi (L)
After breakfast (own expense), take the train with your guide to the nearby town of Spello a pretty place that's well off the beaten tourist trail. Besides the town’s medieval sights, Spello also boasts some fantastic wine bars. Head inside a locally loved enoteca and enjoy a tasting session, sampling Umbrian wine and snacks like prosciutto and bruschetta.
After your tasting session, enjoy some free time to wander the streets of Spello. If time permits, pay a visit to the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore to see incredible frescoes by the Renaissance artist Pinturicchio. Then, meet your guide at the pre-arranged time and return to Assisi by train. Spend your evening at leisure.
Overnight: Hotel Trattoria de Elide or similar in Assisi
Day 7: Assisi Rome
Check out of your hotel and head to Assisi Station. Board your train and relax on your journey south to Rome Italy’s captivating capital. After roughly 1.5 hours, arrive in the city and check in to your hotel.
Spend the rest of your day doing whatever you wish. Rome has more sights and things to do than many other European cities put together, so there’s plenty to keep you occupied. Architectural relics are scattered through the city and there are treasures to be found around every corner. Check out Vatican City, home of the pope, or visit the Colosseum where brutal gladiator battles were once fought. Admire Bernini’s lavish fountains in bustling Piazza Navona, or find your way to Trevi Fountain, tucked away in Rome’s backstreets. All entrance fees and activities are at your own expense.
